Skinnys Cantina is a lively and cozy restaurant that offers flavorful and authentic Mexican food. Visitors appreciate the consistent quality of dishes like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, queso fondido, chicken fajitas, and mole short rib enchiladas, all seasoned perfectly and served hot and fresh. The veggie burrito, in particular, surpasses expectations with its rich flavor. The menu has recently been slimmed down but still includes all the favorites, such as the roasted corn salad with steak, which is highly anticipated.
The atmosphere is fun, trendy, and welcoming, making it suitable for casual weekend meals, date nights, or bringing friends. The vibe often feels relaxed and energetic, with a sense of being on vacation while in the neighborhood. The staff, including attentive servers like Diana and friendly bartenders like Pablo, are warm and accommodating, making guests feel like regulars. The drinks are also a highlight, with well-balanced margaritas, the Paloma, and the popular El Dragon, expertly crafted by skilled bartenders.
Overall, Skinnys Cantina is a trusted spot that delivers great food, excellent service, and a friendly environment. It’s a place that makes the neighborhood feel like home, encouraging repeat visits and a sense of community.
