“You feel like family from the first time you walk through the door. I come into town on business every few months and I'm always welcomed with a big smile from everyone there. The food is fresh and full of flavor, the drinks are always amazing, and the service always top notch. I even brought my daughter here for her 21st birthday and the bartender Marissa took the time to ask her some questions and made her a special birthday cocktail. She also gave her the 101 on drinking safely and responsibly which is awesome coming from another woman. The seasonal drink menu is always a hit; I look forward to the changes each time and make it a point to try as many as possible! If I could give the staff more than 5 stars I would!“

“Donovan’s Pub is owned by 2 Woodside gentlemen. The staff is amazing friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious and great portions. They have the Best Burger in NYC. It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

“I have very fond memories here, it was like a little home from home for me while I was bi Atlantic for 6 years, working on the same block as the Pig There are lots of “Irish pubs” in the vicinity, although this is the only one that felt like a real pub in the UK rather than a novelty in New York Hopefully I will be back again one day! Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. She’s efficient, helpful, creative and friendly. Wonderful venue, right next to the escalators to trains running in every direction. Give them a try! (It was clean, comfortable and friendly.)“
