“Great food, great beer, great vibes, great prices. Went with a group of 12 and had a blast. The fish and chips were light and delicate yet incredibly crispy. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Huge beer selection at eight dollars a pint, great value and amazing staff.“
“Best pint of Guinness in Brooklyn! The bartender Paddy (not the same one on the awning) is friendly and remembered my wife's order, she having only been there one other time before. The second Wednesday of every month is the Conradh na Gaeilge session, so if you've got some Irish or like trad tunes, or both, bígí linn (join us) for some good craic!“
“Great, fun atmosphere on a Saturday, stormy night! The bar tender was generous with the rum and coke I ordered. He hooked me up or made it the way it should taste-more run less coke! The night was swinging with a cast of characters enjoying a night out singing. It did not matter if you hit the notes or missed a few, you got cheered! Would recommend!!!! Fun in Brooklyn!!!“
“Why would yelp say Leif is closed? Shows youre as useless as teats on a bull yelp. Great bar, amazing bands like the Electrics, Hellor High Water, Bill Kirchen, Panama Dead, Headin South, Rock Farm, Mike Falsarano....This is South Brooklyns best music bar, with a large backroom and outdoir area attached. Closed my Irish butt.“
“The most important bar of the neighborhood (and beyond really). Always open when all the other ones have closed way too early, great atmosphere, mixed audience. A great hang to chat with friends, talk to strangers at the bar or simply sit by yourself and decompress.“
“Good Vibe and Good People. Always positive energy while staying true to its personality over time. You get a true glimmer of local culture within the heart of 'true" South Brooklyn when you enter. That local sense of cool you can't describe in words.“
“Nice place! Been here a couple of times. Once for a holiday get together with co-workers and also another time to catch some live music. Bartenders have the drinks flowing and nothing but good vibes! Got the burger and fries and it hit the spot!“
“Great little place near Ft Hamilton Army Post! Live music, open microphone, great selection of drinks at the bar! And more live music ? I debuted with my banjo there!Enjoyed my evening with friends there!Definitely will return for more authentic Irish Pub experience! )“
“Dropped into the Irish haven on Monday 18th march,,, I felt right at home straight away, bar staff are really friendly and they can pull you a decent pint of cream... Got talking to the owner's, lovely lads, chatted to them for awhile, and had a good few pints, it made my day to meet some great people... Here for a full week and I intend to go back for a few pints...so if you're ever in Brooklyn, give this place a look in. James, Ballyfermot, Dublin ?“
“Visiting from the UK and taking a walk down 5th Ave so decided to pop into McMahon’s. Barman Jerry was an amazing host and full of knowledge when giving us ideas for our stay and an around nice guy. I would highly recommend popping into McMahon’s for the great service and superb choice of drinks. Thank you Jerry, you are a true gentleman.“
“Never have I had a more enjoyable paddy’s day than here. I can only commend the staff who handled a non-stop day and intense day of orders from hundreds of folk. They continued to be friendly, professional and accomodating. They really made everything so much better! Sláinte!“
