“this is a proud irish bar and i aint irish but i can fake it really good but teddy from kingston cant but my dude sure loves his guinness. a chill lowkey vibe where you can grab a drink and eat better then average pub food, wings, wraps, burgers , salads, steaks, chicken curry (my fave) and much more and prices are reasonable. you can watch sports (not much sports now) listen to live music(on weekends i think) and be free from the loud frat bros and undesirable a** wipes. while i was watching the yankee game and enjoying my chicken curry and diet coke my boy teddy was charming some dame who is a regular . nice friendly irish pub in yonkers on mcclean ave that i wont mind coming back when teddy d. gives me the call.“
“We went for my dad's 75th birthday last night after doing a pub crawl down McClean Avenue. The service was INCREDIBLE!! They let me drop off cake and balloons and gifts early, they didn't lose anything, and the balloons were tied to our table upon arrival. The food came out FAST all night and HOT HOT HOT! Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.“
“Great ambiance on any night. The food is great portions along with taste. Staff is amazing… Erin is the best bartender, I asked for a hard but sweet mixed drink and she made me the best drink I’ve had in a long time. They host karaoke and DJ nights where this comes alive.“
“My friends and I were meeting up for the first time in a while and our bartender was Aaron. He’s hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by! I had one of the best nights I’ve had in a long time big part thanks to him! I’ll definitely be back for such amazing “
“Food was good. The service was not. Our waitress did not smile much. She was playing with her cell phone when I approached to the service desk with computer and other billing stuff. She name starts with a C.I observed how she treated other customers, she was not warm nor smile either. I told myself, it was not me.“
“My wife and I have been coming here for the past several years and have never been disappointed with either the food or service. We love the ambiance and chatting with the help, It makes you feel as if you are part of a family. They have a top notch kitchen. Both the regular and specials menu have great offerings and a nice variety. And let's not forget the Guinness,,, It's spot on.“
“Met owner Joe and his Son and staff 1st time I went in and because I was looking for answers about my uncle that I hadn’t seen in a long time but I figured he hung out in this really nice cool looking Irish pub being that he is from Ireland! Joe and his son and staff answered so many questions, and I had a delicious pretzel and drink while they helped me more ways than I can thank them!! I consider them my new Besty‘s and I will be visiting them all the way from Long Island, but it will be the quickest 1 hour ride of my life I hope.lol I took the time last night when I got home after midnight to look at the website, I cannot believe the size of the place and how many people it potentially holds and I’m curious to see this coming Sunday St. Patrick’s Day —I am sure it will be packed to the rafters!! Joe was nice enough to take my phone number and he’s going to be in touch with me for some more personal reasons — but they were very busy and he patiently sat with me for hours -making phone call after phone call to try and locate some of my uncles buddies that might be able to answer some more of my questions!??? Joe and family and staff -WE thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will never forget you and we hope to be lifelong friends. Love the Bracken-Brady-Conlon families!! IF ANYONE WANTS UPDATES OR ANY QUESTIONS-ANSWERED ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE—feel free to text or Call me at 15167795299–KEVIN BRACKENS“
“Oldest bar in the Bronx, bartender and all the regulars rule. Great drinks, borderline best value-for-the-drink on the basics in the whole friggin' city. I couldn't get ahold of anyone via phone or online to confirm they were open at 8 am like Yelp said (they were, turns out!), otherwise I would have been there earlier.“
“Great little pub with an old school local vibe. Burgers and wings are very good. The wings are on the larger side so if you're more into the smaller wings with less meat on the bone you may not love them.My kids love the pizza. I'm a little more neutral on it due to the crust leaning a little towards a "store bought" type. But the sauce and toppings are spot on.The employees are great across the board. They all seem to enjoy working there vs just "having a job". Good place to hang with some friends or eat with the family.Parking: Depending on the time of day can be a little challenging.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the dining room for sure. The bar area has high tops but I wouldn't say that space is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Not the easiest to access for people with disabilities.“
“Beautiful Irish bar in the Bx. I was there to play darts one night. I shoot in a league so we travel around. Dart board on site of course, and away from most people so you can play in peace. The drinks are reasonably priced as well and the bartenders are good too.“
“Big group of us (over 20) called in for breakfast before a match in Gaelic Park. Service, cleanliness and staff hospitality were second to none, before I even mention the food. Breakfast was so good we called back after the match for dinner. Even though it was very busy the staff, accommodated us and the food was excellent, would highly recommend for both food quality and price. Special mention to Danielle who couldn't do enough to make our two visits to the Whlistin Donkey very worth while.“
