O'Hanlon's is pub meets basement rec room meets one of the oddest cuts of locals you'll find in Manhattan. Probably best known for its soccer showing which draws in weekend crowds, you might be surprised to learn it also opens at 9am, apparently to cater to night shift workers like those at the firehouse across the street. Irish pub? It's a rare Sunday that I had to be on the east side. After doing some emergency in-person banking, I was looking for the nearest watering hole. A quick Google search led me here. The front section was packed at 2 PM with mostly soccer fans in jerseys for the Rwanda soccer team. However, some things were interesting surprises.
