The Dead Poet Reviews
Good pint of Guinness and pretty decent service .. gets a bit crowded
The Dead Poet hits home for our neighborhood pub, even if it's not your own neighborhood. Set yourself up on the Guinness list for the chance to get on the wall and meet the locals. One teeny weeny feedback idea is to place books of poetry in the sections of the pub where books go. Some Yeats, Whitman, or maybe some Billy Collins.
Bartenders were super nice and I loved the $3 popcorn

The Dead Poet is a cozy pub with a hidden gem atmosphere, perfect for a date night or a late-night spot. It offers an incredible selection of creative cocktails, including The Dead Poet and JD Salinger, and serves some of the best Guinness in New York. The friendly and professional staff enhance the pub's charm, making it a welcoming place for both regulars and visitors. While the bar area can be narrow and crowded, especially on weekends, the outside patio provides better seating options. The Dead Poet Bar on the Upper West Side has a great atmosphere with dark wood, bookish quotes on the walls, and dim lighting, creating an inviting space for casual drinks. Though it does not serve food, guests are welcome to bring their own, and the Happy Hour offers one of the most affordable burgers in the city. Despite some minor drawbacks, The Dead Poet is a must-visit for those seeking a unique and intimate drinking experience. Its tucked-away feel, exceptional drinks, and fun vibe make it a standout in the city.
