Definitely more of a local bar. Feels sort of divey with still a nice ambiance to it. We snagged a high top and had a cocktail which was good but required a bit of a wait. It definitely gets crowded and they check IDs at the door. Everybody knew everybody here so we felt a bit out of place but still a decent spot to grab a drink!
Diamond Dogs is a an awesome local bar here in Astoria! Nice selection of craft beers and great cocktails. My favorite part of the bar is the back patio where you can enjoy drinks outside on of their tables or picnic benches — giving a real warming environment for people to be social and kick back.

The atmosphere at this place, particularly it's outdoor seating, and the great selection of cocktails makes for an excellent spot to grab a drink with a friend. One of the city's great bars, and my favorite one in Queens.
