“This is the best deli in the area. Unpretentious fresh delicious food at very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong at this place. The veal parm won't be beat.“

“Who normalized charging $20 for an Italian sub? It just feels un-American. Thankfully D&F in Astoria is more patriotic than that and their Italian combo hero is a very reasonable $10.50. It comes with all the classic meats, provolone, and oil & vinegar. My personal opinion is that an Italian sandwich is better after a few hours in the fridge so plan accordingly.“

“The prices for sandwiches are GREAT for the flavor and freshness but you don’t get a lot of product. For instance on a sandwich the tomato is sliced so razor thin it looks like a light pink piece of transparent paper. Also barely any lettuce but it’s always super fresh. That the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.“

“The owner is very friendly and kind. He ordered chicken and beef burrito. The ingredients are very rich, delicious and cheap. After the burrito is wrapped with the filling, it will be fried on a hot plate and it will be crispy. Taste. Best burritos I've had during my trip to the US!“

“Heard a lot about this place and been wanting to see if it lived up to the hype. It certainly did and more. We ordered the two items many speak about, The Bomb and the Italian Combo. Both were huge and delicious. Although we preferred the Bomb more, but that our choice. On top of the sandwiches we had, they had a number of others that looked just as delicious as watched others pick there’s up as we waited. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and you can’t be the price for such amazing sandwiches. We’ll definitely be back for more. Just a heads up. They only take cash. No Credit or Debit Cards.“

“I ordered a sandwich and a juice from them yesterday . The Sandwich was pretty good , but the juice that I ordered wasnt even filled close to the top , and in no way 24 oz. And there wasn't even a trace of ginger in the juice . The juice was still good though, but I really like the ginger spice which I think they just forgot to put any ginger in so that was a little disappointing. But overall good“

“The bread on a torta is the difference between close-enough and gorgeously perfect - Kiosko delivers uncannily fresh ingredients, efficient and thorough service, extremely reasonable prices but above all perfect Mexican deli delights. The minimalist carnitas are just perfectly prepared pork, the Milanesa evenly cooked while retaining a tender bite, and the spicy sauce and pickled jalapenos no joke but easy to avoid for milder palates. “I wrote up this review summer of 2015 and tried to post it on yelp but I couldn't log in. So finally posting it here.

I just had the probably the best deli experience of my life or at least as far as I can remember. I moved to the neighborhood 2 months ago. My first experience with this deli was a little disappointing. My friend and I got cheesesteaks but we both thought they were lacking flavor. I thought maybe just a little A1 sauce or buttering and toasting/grilling the bread might do the trick and thought about ordering one again with those instructions but never did. Then I got a ham, egg and provolone on a toasted buttered roll (which is how I order it everywhere) and it was the best I had in months! So good that I think my girlfriend got tired of me talking about it! So then I got another, and I think it was the same cook, but he forgot to toast and butter the roll, probably because he was distracted being on the phone (shoulder to ear), and so it was not anywhere near as delicious as the one he made before. This morning I went to get another ham, egg and provolone, and Nesh (who isn't the regular cook) not only made it better than the last time I had it from the regular cook, but did such an all around great job that this will not only be my goto deli. Whoever owns this place should give him a raise. You must understand that it is rare for me to give such praise, for example I had such horrible experiences with Dell and Verizon that I will never ever buy anything from them again. Even though my experience with Empire State Deli hasn't been perfect, its has been rather good compared to other places and with Nesh's great customer service, I will go here more often. Oh and before going to this deli I read reviews here and I remember one mentioning teens hanging out and it being an issue but I've never seen nor experienced anything like the no matter what time I have gone over the last two months. Then I went back and got another ham, egg and cheese by the regular cook and it was only so so. I guess they should make Nesh the cook then it would be 5 stars!“

“What an amazing deli! We haven’t had time to take photos of our food because it’s so hot, fresh and delicious we just dive in.
The staff are lovely and put so much effort into their food!
We are staying at a hotel close by but it’s worth a train ride out of NYC to discover this hidden gem.
