Food amazing! ❤️ highly recommended!
9 of us were here today to celebrate my sister’s retirement. Mateo was setting up and serving everyone (by himself)… The alcapurrias are delicious, the empanadillas are delicious and the pasteles!
We each totally devoured the food served!
EVERYTHING we had was phenomenal. We had from sandwich to shrimps to pernil to pork chops (absolutely delicious)…
Mateo was so attentive and gracious although he was very busy, he brought us everything we needed at the table

The Freakin Rican offers really good food with perfect flavors that create an authentic Puerto Rican vibe. Customers are willing to travel for the excellent food, service, and atmosphere, and they often wish for more locations. Popular dishes like alcapurria, bacalaitos, and pernil are a hit, and the large portions for lunch specials make it a great value. Visitors appreciate the friendly ambiance, though some have noted that the music can be quite loud, which can be challenging during meals. The food is flavorful and feels homemade, with dishes like the shrimp mofongo and fried chicken breast receiving high praise. The beans are very flavorful and well-seasoned, reminiscent of traditional Puerto Rican cooking. Vegetarian options are available, but the menu is very meat-centric. Overall, visitors are planning their next visit and recommending it to friends and family. The lunch special costs only $13 and includes a drink, making it an excellent choice for those seeking hearty, authentic Caribbean flavors in a lively setting.
