I've been to Vela Juice Bar twice already. I like how it's a little corner shop with a myriad of smoothie options, as well as bubble tea options. The first time I went in, I ordered a berry and banana smoothie, which was so delicious. As I was waiting, the woman behind the counter, gave me a small sample of another type of smoothie. as i walked inside vela juice bar i knew exactly what i wanted and nothing against the healthy juice drinks available and acai bowls , health smoothies and other health beverages, no i want the traditional mixed fruit smoothie large for 8 bucks and its a wrap.i hit the spot as my tummy is full and no fast food which is the complete opposite of this joint.plenty of drinks to choose from and the acai fruit bowls look good , especially the one with sliced bananas all around the bowl...read full review

I work 12 hour shifts near here and I’m always soooo tired halfway through. I come here for a quick pick me up. The lady behind the counter is the absolute sweetest, drinks aside- she always lightens my mood. The açaí bowls are to die for- not mid. I’ve tried so many spots in Astoria and Vela is consistently yummy. Today. I went in for a milk tea and they ran out of boba. She went an extra mile to charge me for a medium despite me ordering a large! Soooo sweet. ??
