Burmese Bites is a new Burmese restaurant in NYC, where there are few other options. The food is very authentic and delicious, and the service is helpful and friendly. The keema palata with peanut sauce is chunky and flavorful. The ohno noodles are much more earthy compared to Thai Khao soi, and the shan noodles are more like dry noodles, with chickpea tofu that was the favorite bites of the entire meal. The tea leaf salad is incomparable in Burmese cuisine. The food is exceptional and extraordinarily flavorful, the meat extremely tender. The fish curry, tea leaf salad and watercress salad are go-to orders. The Nan Gyi Kaukswe Thoke is incredible, as were all the appetizers. The spice is authentic but milder at times, and no less delicious. This restaurant has stars from the servers to the meals.
