We are pretty casual when we dine or drink, but decided to stop by here on an evening to hang out a little. On the contrary to our previous assumptions, this lounge was so welcoming, friendly, and warm. All the staff was very nice to the customers, especially the manager, Brian, and the bartender, Paul. Staff is very attentiveBar snacks and drinks are a "good price" for Manhattan The cheese plate is probably the best value, but I really enjoyed the deviled eggs, only comes with 3, but very tasty.Really digging the live music and casual lounge atmosphere, will come back

An old-school glitteratti watering hole that is interesting, but not incredible. The Pierre is a storied hotel with long history of serving the rich and famous. The two E Bar lounge is tucked in the hotel back and recessed, almost like a sunken living room. It's not as dramatic as historic bars in other old hotels, but the staff is excellent, even if the decor and ambiance aren't extraordinary.
