“We had a nice quiet dinner here. The space is clean and cozy and we really enjoyed everything about our meal. I had a great glass of Nebbiolo and we shared the truffle potato chips and lentil caviar app. We also had a gluten free dairy free pizza that was pretty good. We will definitely be back.“

“I spent a month traveling around India, and one of my favorite experiences was sampling the local biryani all over the country. It was heavenly.

HZ is one of the few Indian restaurants in the Tri-State area where I taste that same level of authenticity and flavor. The Hyderabadi Goongura Veg Dum Biryani is uncompromisingly savory and tart, driven by the fermented hibiscus paste that they layer throughout. The Mahi Fry Biryani features complex layers of spices, as does the Lamb Fry Biryani--and neither rely on the animal protein to provide flavor to the rice. Rather, the protein is complementary to the spice flavor profiles already encased in the rice.

Their other dishes are no losers either, from the wonderfully zesty HZ Special Chicken Lollipops, to the hearty Kadhai Subz, to the pungent Gobi 65. But the biryani is really the quarterback of the lot, and you should not leave without trying at least one.

“If it’s Tuesday (buy 1 taco get 1 free) and I’m in the area, I’m getting Tacombi. What am I ordering? A crispy fish taco. Obviously. Probably the best crispy fish taco I’ve ever eaten (my photo does not do justice). Everything from the batter to the pico de gallo, it’s perfect. I’ve tried the carne asada (mid) and the sweet potato black bean (my second favorite at the moment), and they just don’t compare. I went to another location and the fish taco was just as delicious. Guacamole and totopes are also really good. Also if you have a low spice tolerance like me (embarrassing I know), i think most of the tacos do have a strong kick (although I haven’t tried them all yet). The fish tacos don’t tho. And the carne asada, they put the spicy pepper on top so you can remove it if that’s not your vibe. Staff is always kind and friendly, and the ambiance is chill. Their tacos are kinda expensive, which is why I mentioned I really have only gone here on a Tuesday. LOL“

“Got an iced coffee and a smoothie. Both were good, but sweet. I think they add a decent amount of sweetener. There is no indoor seating, but overall service was quick and easy. Vibe was clean and fresh. They packaged the drinks with water-tight lids for on-the-go pickup.“

Love this place over Juice Press and Pressed Juicery. Everything is made right in front and if you have an allergy the staff are very welcoming and will take note.“
