Be aware that you have to pay for each cup of coffee (vs. getting free refills, which is typical for breakfast service at most restaurants). “Burger Baby by Wonder absolutely exceeded my expectations! I had the truffle burger, and it was incredible perfectly cooked, so juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. Wonder also has cookies that were just as amazing. My son absolutely loved them and couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. It’s definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.

“The 5 stars are for the smoothies and juices. They are genuinely great and I highly recommend them!

However, despite living in the area, it’s hard for me to go here for a drink regularly even though I want to. The main reason is the amount of plastic. Maybe I’m an outlier here but I just can’t get comfortable with the amount of plastic that gets used with every single drink.

All I want is a drink in a glass. Instead, it’s in a plastic cup, with a plastic straw that is individually wrapped in plastic. I’ve tried asking for drinks “for here” but they don’t really have that as far as I can tell. Instead, I get a drink in a plastic cup, sealed with plastic, in a plastic bag.

It’s very hard because I love getting a drink here but always come away feeling bad about the amount of plastic waste I’ve just caused to go out into the environment for a single smoothie. I’ll be their biggest champion if they just introduce a “for here” option that is a simple glass. Or, let me bring my own glass if it’s easier!“

“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“Review based solely on their smoothie selection -- which, for the money ($9 for small, $11 for large), is absolutely THE BEST in NYC, these days. I'm a Berryhead, thru-and-thru -- and NEED smoothies that skip all the chichi milky-healthy hype (NO to almond milk and coconut water) and just go with all fruit.

Cabrini does it the best -- their 'Berry Tropical'
and 'Pink Dragon' CANNOT be beat, as it's all-berries for the former, and dragon fruit + succulent fruit (mango, pineapple) for the latter. In a perfect consistency that is neither too watery nor too thick -- which is what so many other places in NYC get totally wrong, especially when those unmentionable liquids are added (Boo!). Even adding peanut butter to the mix as a protein boost doesn't sink the smoothie ship, so it's smooth sailing, throughout, from start to final sip. (Tip: once finished, you'll want to savor every last bit, so fill the cup 3/4 with water and enjoy a smoothie-infused way to get some extra ounces in before you're done).

I also enjoy how I am available to change the sugar and ice content, giving me the ability to tailor it to my liking even further. My only complaints are that the blender is loud, making it hard to communicate and understand the server. Also, the drinks from the “Butterfly Pea” series taste like water after a while. Since they opened I been going at least once a month and it never disappoints. No offense to the crew on 125th but this one just has the juice! (pun intended). They always give you a little left over and let you modify with no problems.
