“Amazing Fresh Onigari (rice balls) & delicious teas! (Cold, Hot, Bubble, No-Bubble) Support a local Mom & Pop shop & get fresh tasty food & drinks — win win win!!! (The line outside moves, one customer/group inside at a time due to COVID, & everything is made fresh to order — your patience will be rewarded!)“
“I tried the Wintermelon Milk w/ Boba and the Peach Yakult w/ Lychee Jelly (as provided on the Staff Reccs Menu) and they were both amazing— Personally like the Wintermelon one more because I wanted something with milk but both were great. The staff were exceptional and overheard that my girlfiend and I had never really tried Wintermelon before, and they jumped to give us a sample of the tea. First off, amazing to see that there were no added sugars and that all the components of their drinks were individually perfected. We ended up ordering and got our drinks pretty quickly, but while we waited one of the staff members offered us a sample of their pudding topping. It was great to try and extremely kind of the staff to offer, especially because there was no incentive for them to do so as we had already ordered. You can tell that the staff really care about making a great business. They haven’t been open for too long, and I hope they receive lots of support so I can go back and try more of the drinks they have to offer. In terms of seating, they don’t offer any, but you can easily walk around the area and find some or walk while drinking. You can also get a stamp card to get a discount on your tenth return!TLDR: Amazing drinks, not too sweet, very refreshing. A great pick me up. Relatively not the cheapest but it’s some of the best you’re getting, especially in Manhattan. Definitely something to try. Staff are amazing and will let you try samples.Kid-friendliness: Amazing Environment“
“Superb beef noodle soup. Delicious broth and extremely tasty beef. I'm addicted and the best thing is it's just as good if you order it for delivery, because they separate the noodles and the vegetables from the broth, so that when you combine them it is hot and fresh as if it just came out of the kitchen.“
“I stopped by because the posters on the outside drew me in. It's a small and cutely decorated boba and ice cream shop. There was only 1 person working at the time but I didn't have to wait too long for my food. Since it's small, there are not many places to sit, so most people do to-go orders. I ordered an item from each category: * Grapefruit Green Tea Boba - 9/10 - I liked the grapefruit pulp that was mixed into the boba, because of the different textures. The 50% sugar was the perfect amount of sweetness. * Almond Chocolate Croffle - 7/10 - The croffle tasted a bit stale and it was cold, so I don't think they make it fresh. But, I did like the toppings. * Lychee Rose Ice Cream - 8/10 - I liked the small pieces of lychee throughout the ice cream and the rose flavor was not overbearing. Overall, I would come again to try the boba floats. I think they shine more for their drinks than anything else.“
“I absolutely love this place and then I walked in. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and very knowledgeable, and each Tea that they produce. I was so surprised as to how many options they have in the store. I ordered the raspberry tea with Boba. Thank you for your help and the experience that I deserved . I am absolutely grateful and I will be coming back a lot often“
“It's a cozy, atmospheric place. The service is great and pleasant. Very welcoming vibe and cozy place to sit and enjoy. Staffs are polite and doesn't feel rushed like other places. Thai food is always a healthy and great selection of bubble tea.Kid-friendliness: Ambiance is playful with comfortable lighting and seating.“
“the entire staff is so friendly and amazing. Full of smiles and just an overall great experience. I was fortunate enough to meet Cindy (the owner) who is an intelligent, funny, and amazing person. Stop by chinatown and try the delicious eel with purple rice with some farm fresh mango bubble tea“
“Delicious! Stumbled upon this place when I was searching for a quick bite. I ordered delivery and the food came very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised how big and hefty the bowls were! We got the bulgogi rice bowl and a make your own bowl with fried chicken. Both had generous heaping portions of meat. I would say my appetite is fairly large and I couldn't even finish half of my bowl! The bulgogi was tender and juicy, and the vegetables that came with my bowl were delicious. The make your own bowl was also phenomenal! The cucumber kimchi and pickled turnips were some of my favorites. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation of meals and I can't wait to have it again!“
“Tea is great. Kenny will work with you to customize a drink, or make something you dream up, but do yourself a favor and try something from their imaginative and thought-through signature menu.Kenny is a real one. Service with a smile and chill conversation. A natural part of the neighborhood, this place will one day be a local fixture.Beautiful, clean, aesthetic atmosphere in this little space in Chinatown. Nice place to sit and relax on a rainy day or catch some shade and a cool drink in the dog days of summer.“
“This is THE smoothie place to go - hands down!I’ve been to at least 10 smoothie places in NYC (primarily Manhattan) and never been more satisfied with the drink or service than here. Honestly no other smoothie places can compare. I can order my drink within the moment I step inside (the workers are highly attentive to customers) and wait less than 5 minutes until my smoothie’s been made.Very smooth, no chunks, absolutely addictively delicious. My top choice is always the Lychee Valentine, followed by Avomazing or Smooth Avocado, but you really cannot go wrong with any of their choices.“
“I found this little Vietnamese cafe. I ordered the salad noodle bowl with grilled chicken and a smoothie. I really liked the rice noodle, it’s really fresh and matches well with the sauce. Cafe was spacious with plentiful of seats. I would come back again ?“
“Delicious tea - not too sweet even at the regular sugar amount. There’s options to adjust sugar and ice levels. Lots of flavors offered and a generous amount of bubbles. The store has a variety of East Asian snacks as well, ranging from candy and noodles to sauce. The staff member was very friendly also. Highly recommend supporting this local shop instead of the various chains around“
“Cute little shop hidden away! I got the passion fruit green tea, which was made fresh. The drink was super refreshing and I really like how they use real fruit. The packaging is also so cute and the service was pretty quick. Definitely want to come back to try their other drink flavors and the boba.“
“Want tea around NYU campus? Sip perfection with customized drinks like Unforgivable and Chijito here at Chihiro Tea. Best tea in the neighborhood! Cute, cozy interior, though a bit cramped with students. Don't miss the NYU student discount. A must-visit oasis, especially in steamy summer!“
“I got the roasted oolong with the signature foam today and it was excellent. The oolong had excellent flavor and the foam made the drink creamy and paired perfectly with the bold tea flavor. The boba was the perfect texture and sweetness too. This was my ideal boba drink that I’m always hoping for when I get boba. I loved it! The drink was also made in a couple minutes. I had such a great experience!“
“We went to the city to pick up family, and my husband wanted to eat. OMG, the chicken wings and drumsticks were exceptional. Double battered fried chicken ?. Crisp, however so juicy and NOT dry. The chicken is made to order and that keeps it FRESH. The dipping sauces were so flavorful too. Tried the kimchi and it didn't disappoint. We live in Westchester and look forward to driving to NYC soon.“
“i love fiftylan bubble tea, it is my go-to everytime i am in the area! their class golden bubble milk tea is my usual but their yakults are also delicious!! the only thing i do not like about this place is that it feels as if there is no ventilation in this place and they leave the door closed.“
“They serve both hot and cold drinks! It’s tucked inside a run down food court but the lady is very sweet. I was looking for something hot to drink after my hypothermia inducing run and came across this little gem. They have a kiosk if you don’t have cash to order and pay for drinks. Thanks Zhen Pin Cafe, you saved me from a trip to the hospital and probably a very high medical bill too ?“
“We love coming to this location. They have a huge selection of plushies and it wasn’t too hard to win the minis. We saw a couple get real lucky, winning almost all the ball ones in just a couple of tries.Don’t skip the popcorn chicken, honey butter fries, and whipped boba. So good!“
“I'd give 10 stars if I could. I went on a Saturday when there was a bit of a rush and everyone was so kind! The quality of the food was amazing, crispy veggies and HUGE shrimp. I hope they're able to relocate when market line closes.“
“I absolutely love this place. I come here once or twice a day. The smoothies are excellent. My favorites are peach’s delight and peanut butter punch. Most times I add some combination of mango, coconut and/or spinach to the peanut butter one. I haven’t tried the juices or açaí bowls yet but I’ve heard many great reviews from people I trust. The customer service in this tiny gem of a store is also A1. They care about their customers, I can tell. I hope you guys stay open for a very long time.“
“One sip of the passion fruit smoothie and I felt like I was on a tropical island! Packed with mango and passion fruit and kale and spinach, it's hearty yet sweet and has all the flavors of Hawaii. Love it and the guy at the register was so sweet and even gave me a sample. Can't wait to come back. 5 stars!!!!“
“Hawaii Poke impressed me with its authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. Their variety of toppings allows for unique combinations, and the service has always been fast and friendly. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates quality and originality in their dishes!Dietary restrictions: I can always customize my dish to accommodate my dietary restrictions, which is crucial for me. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was friendly. I'll definitely be back!“
“A lot of places don't live up to the hype. That is not the case with Surreal. From the second we walked in, we were greeted, and asked if it was our first visit. The employee that helped us was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We were offered samples and suggestions. Our customer experience alone was worth the trip. The Thai milk tea was the best I have ever had. I was offered a sample of the taro ice cream (not something I would have ordered on my own) and WOW. It might have been the best ice cream I have had. Needless to say I ordered one. Check it out, my entire family enjoyed their orders too. Absolutely worth the trip.“
“I find the menu is a bit hard to order. The drinks and desserts are excellent. Not too sweet unless you order something with brown sugar then it's a bit sweeter than regular drinks.Vegetarian options: You can change milk to soy milk or almond milk“
“When it comes to boba, some people prefer milk-based drinks and some, like me, prefer the fruitier tea-based drinks. HeyTea has quickly surpassed Debutea and become my new favorite place for a fruity afternoon pick-me-up. The space is pretty small, but the team works quickly to prepare your drinks and you can always order ahead and pick up in store. I have tried the mulberry boom tea ($6.99) and their signature cheese grape boom tea ($7.49) so far and they have tasted fantastic. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients (as they do include fruit pulp at the bottom of the drinks) and the quality of the tea brewed. I believe they were the first to introduce cheese foam to the market, which does add a sweet, slightly savory cream-cheese-like taste to the fruit teas but in my opinion, I think is unnecessary. The boom teas have a light slushie consistency as the tea and fruit is blended together before being served atop a generous scoop of fruit pulp at the bottom. The grape boom tea, in particular, also comes with slipper little jelly bites which add so much textural delight to the drink. Overall, I've had some delicious drinks so far and look forward to trying out the entire menu at HeyTea. I really hope they open another location downtown soon!“
“I got the chicken karaage and the avocado tea(sadly didn't take a picture, very aesthetically pleasing though). Both of them were really good and fresh, worth the price. Would definitely go again. Store has nice decoration and was very clean.“
“Juicy Cube is the one of the best juice spots in NY. The juice, smoothies and açaí bowls are consistently excellent, and the warm and friendly staff keep me coming back. The orders are prepared quickly. It’s worth to stop by and grab a drink, and you won’t be disappointed! Love this place! Highly recommend!“
“This was the winner of my little bubble tea showdown. It was a close call, but their tea led them to victory. My theory is that bubble tea should taste like tea. Even though this tiny hole in the wall is off the beaten path, they are most definitely getting the job done.“
“Loved their rose milk tea and thai iced tea. Their lychee jelly is full of flavor and is just the right texture. Their boba is perfectly chewy and just the right size. Their staff is super friendly and happy to answer any questions about the menu, even during busy promotions times! The staff is super efficient and the line moves quick!“
“Been coming to this neighborhood spot since they opened right by my home. I love the variety of flavor combos here, and everything I've tried so far (smoothies, acai bowls) have been delicious! I think it's great value for the smoothie and it's refreshing to have this as an option here in Chelsea (plus I would rather support a small business vs the big smoothie franchises). I will be back!“
“Only tried the fresh mango slush here and it's just as advertised- fresh! You have the option of adding milk (I didn't because I like it more refreshing than creamy).. also I got 50% sugar and it was sweet enough. Huge cup at a good price. They also have food options here if you want a light snack. The drink came out pretty quickly even though they were busy.“
“Stumbled here for after dinner tea. Had their mango peach green tea. With boba. You get to choose between the small and big boba also get to choose the sugar levels. Also they serve a huge huge cup if you're into that. Very tasty tea. Service was super quick. Seating isn't much but if you're planning to sit you can get boba here and sit at union square. Thanks for the delicious dessert!“
“Very friendly staff and yummy drinks! Came here while waiting for my express bus just outside and had a good experience. The only thing is that there isn't much space to sit if there are already people there, so you might be better off just getting your stuff to go rather than eating in.“
“We got the salmon tray & spicy box set and it was a perfect portion for 2 people with a decent price! The space is very small and cramped so we ate it at the Central Park which was only 10 min walk. Overall enjoyed it and will definitely visit again!Oh, bring cash if you are planning to visit. They only accept cash.“
“What a wonderful gem in terms of love for the work and the product. Very small and manageable, you almost walk past, a good friend who lives on 71st Street took me "just there".They knew him there, he was a regular customer and so I was able to enjoy something that went far beyond a normal smoothie... just something really successful and tasty that I would want to order again at any time.Don't ask me what I got there... but it was great and I'm very sure that pretty much everything else you can get there is absolutely worth trying.“
“The selection of Mochi Donuts is remarkable! They taste incredibly delicious and have the exact texture as the originals from Japan (e.g., those from Mister Donut). Mochi Mochi Donut is a small shop within a larger establishment with several small shops in Korea Town. The only downside is there are virtually no seating options, and even standing space is very tight and limited.“
“It was a little tight seating wise but also one of the only places in the area I could find with seating. The price to seating size was almost perfect and it was some of th3 best fried rice I've ever had. The dumplings I stole off my partners plate were good too :^)They have self order kiosks so if you wanted to you would t if had to talk to anyone. It was fantastic and a great place to chill out at the end of a long day of walking“
“The smoothie that I had in years! Service is really friendly too and they are open to your request. They also give good recommendations for drinks especially you are looking for health regiments. They also have good bubble tea too! I personally get myself a strawberry smoothie because their strawberries are fresh! They got good healthier options too! So I definitely recommend if you love smoothies, bubble tea, protein shakes or other healthy regiments.“
“My first visit to the rolled ice cream spot was nothing short of delightful, and I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. The experience was a symphony of taste, texture, and creativity, all rolled into one (pun intended). From the moment I watched the skilled artisans craft the ice cream rolls right before my eyes, I knew this place was something special. The meticulous attention to detail and the artistic flair with which they prepared each order was a true spectacle. The result? Ice cream that not only looked like a work of art but tasted like a dream. With a menu offering a wide range of flavors and toppings, there was something to suit every palate. Whether you're a classic vanilla lover or an adventurous spirit seeking exotic flavor combinations, this place has you covered. The fact that the prices were around $10 per person, depending on your choice of ice cream and toppings, made the experience even sweeter. What truly made my visit memorable, though, was the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff exuded genuine enthusiasm, eager to help customers navigate the menu and create their perfect dessert. It was this friendly and accommodating service that truly elevated the overall experience. In a city filled with dessert options, this rolled ice cream spot has quickly become a standout for me. The combination of delectable flavors, skillful craftsmanship, and wallet-friendly prices ensures that I'll be returning again and again. If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting yet, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try – your taste buds will thank you!“
“Dropped by here on a weekend with my party a few months back. There are plenty of drink options to choose from, but I ultimately went with the Rose Jasmine Milk Tea (~$7). Drink was large. In terms of the taste, it was decent, though not too memorable.“
“We got oreo coco with pudding, oolong tea, pumkin pie coffee latte and some dumping and rice ball. Oreo coco, even request 80% it was still sweet. Oolong tea and coffee is good for my boyfriend sweettooth. Pork&leek dumpling and riceball taste good. Definitely order again soon“
“This is one of my favorite tea shops in the Times Square area. I have tried others nearby but Modern area is great for me. I love the aesthetics inside and how much seating is available. They also have outlets if you're looking to have some ME time but charge your phone haha. I got the brown sugar boba milk (my usual) and it never disappoints. I got it with oat milk which is just .50 extra and it was creamy and delicious“
“Stopped by here for some boba tea. Appears to be a new shop as I have never heard of them. The aesthetics is pretty nice for the interior. Orders are placed on one of the two kiosks they have setup.I ordered the large Oolong Tea Latte with boba ($7) hot, 50% sugar. This was pricy compared to the other boba shops, probably because they're not a chain. Regardless, I enjoyed the drink. Tasty and refreshing for a cold winter day.“
“It’s a small cat themed cafe with a pastel palette. I got the iced matcha strawberry drink and enjoyed the matcha flavor but didn’t taste much strawberry flavor. In my picture of the 3 strawberry matcha lattes, the strawberry amount is uneven. The matcha thankfully did not taste powdery. I think it’s an overpriced matcha drink where you have to pay an extra dollar for any of the toppings. The aesthetics of the menu and drinks are eye popping and make you want to try everything though. The worker was nice and even gave us a cat sticker. They also offer a 10% NYU student discount, so take advantage of that! You can also use the kiosk to order which gives you all of the possible add ons and options you have. We opted for oatly oak milk which didn’t have a surcharge for once! I enjoyed my matcha drink and would probably try the rose milk tea or bingsoo next.“
“Henry's is a hidden gem among the bustling South Street Seaport area full of chain restaurants and overpriced mediocre dining spots. I highly recommend the classic banh mi! The bread is my favorite part of a banh mi and the rolls here are always fresh, soft on the inside, a little crispy on the outside. As far as the bubble tea goes, you really can't go wrong, but my favorites are the passionfruit green tea and brown sugar milk tea.You can't beat the prices here, especially for the area!“
“I pass this all the time and was super interested in the menu because they had a lot of Taiwanese street foods. I got the popcorn chicken and was surprised at how crispy it was. The chicken was a little dry but the seasoning was good. I definitely want to go back to try the other things on the menu.“
“Good and tasty but not outstanding ramen in New York. Prices are OK for NYC. We stayed in the directly adjacent SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hotel, which does not have its own restaurant, and ate at Ajisen Ramen one evening because it was around the corner and rightly so has good reviews.“
“Tea Makers is a boba lover's dream come true! The service is super quick, and the drinks are bursting with flavor. It's a must-visit spot for any boba enthusiast looking for a delightful experience. The variety of flavors and unique combinations make each visit a delightful adventure. The staff's attention to detail and friendly demeanor enhance the overall enjoyment of the experience. Whether you're a boba connoisseur or a newbie to the boba scene, Tea Makers is sure to impress with its quality drinks and inviting atmosphere.“
“My friend and I came here, it was a very nice place.I ordered the matcha with cheese foam.My friend ordered coconut milk with mango pudding, both of them were good,The refreshing taste is very suitable for summer. There are many choies, strongly recommend this place, we will definitely come back!“
