“Edit: Thank you for the reply. I visited the shop again on a Sunday afternoon and I was positively surprised by the rapidity of the service (less than 10 minutes wait). The drinks were very good and tasty too.

Good menu choice, however I have been here twice and both times I waited an unacceptable long time (40+ minutes) for a single simple drink. The pick up process is unstructured and unreliable. What's the point in waiting if you cannot even receive your drink. Strongly not recommended.“

I am shocked that they’ve been in business for more than a year and I just found them now?Being an avid bubble tea lover along with my kids, I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is a hidden gem in the heart of JSQ. The owner is very down to earth and a people person. You won’t step out of that place without a smile. She will make your drink according to your preference. You can make as many adjustments as you’d like and she will do it with a smile.

We ordered 2 Oreo shakes and a latte bubble tea. I ordered them in M size, but she gave me in L size? and still charged me for M. My kids loved their Oreo shakes and I very much enjoyed my latte. I can’t wait to go back and try the other bubble tea flavors and the waffles and crepes.

“I would give this place a million billion stars if I could. Every single employee that I saw there is SO friendly. The milk tea is the best I’ve ever had, and I absolutely loved the tofu/inari pockets, fresh, delicious seafood. The eel literally gets torched in front of you which is just such a lovely detail to how much they care about their customers’ experience. “I often frequent this place, since my freshman year at UMSV. This place and even their other location has always served the best boba teas and food. You can’t find their food anywhere else in the area! My personal favorites to munch on are the shrimp tempura rice ball and pork bun!! The atmosphere is so perfect for studying or chilling with friends, and they always have cute stickers at the front for you. Their loyalty card system is a bonus, and honestly the customer service is the best ever!!

Vegetarian options: Pretty much most, if not all the drinks are vegetarian friendly, and can be made vegan friendly with the substitution of the milk! (Opt for fruity teas though, and always be sure to ask). The pumpkin bun is sooooo good too!!“

“I came across this boba tea shop on a Thursday evening after a friend recommended. It had a few indoor seats so I was able to order my drinks and chat with friends for awhile. I ordered the classic bubble milk tea with 25% sugar and it was just sweet enough (but not too sweet)! This was honestly so yummy and the boba was super soft. It's one of the best bobas I've had in awhile in NYC and reminds me of the ones I've had in China. I honestly preferred this over Kung Fu tea which is right across the street. Not to mention, my drink was under $5 which is way more affordable than other tea shops. I was craving this so much that I had to come back the next day to try their popcorn chicken as well. To my surprise, their popcorn chicken is also delicious. It's has a crispy crunch and the chicken is tender and well seasoned. It also came with a spicy chili sauce on the side. The lady in the front was nice & I asked for cheese form but I don’t think she heard me so she gave a regular queen drink, mango & strawberry. She was pretty quick with the drink, around 5 minutes it took.

“I pass by here all the time and I always told myself I will always go in and grab myself some bubble tea. On a random lunch break. I finally did just that and I'm so happy I did! I got the rice yam milk tea and oh my God it tasted like cake. It was so good!! Inside the shop looks so cool It looks like a traditional tea shop and there are iPads so you can place your order. “I was pleasantly surprised by the drinks that this place has. I came in with low expectations and was found myself enjoying the drinks here a lot. It doesn’t have the fake artificial taste that we’ve grown accustomed to, and the latte was also amazing. Fries are made fresh to order and require you to wait a few minutes, but it comes out piping hot and you will burn your mouth if you eat it right away. It has amazing crisp and the Cajun has good spice to it.“

“This is by far the BEST boba tea place in NYC, if not the country (I've tried quite a few up and down the east coast). In fact, I didn't think I liked boba until having Shiny Tea's tasty pearls. Their tea has so much flavor, so much depth. I highly recommend coming here, as often as you can, and trying as many combinations as possible. Passionfruit wenshan, pineapple black, and their winter melon oolong (or mint--both quite different from each other) are some of my favorites. Their milk teas are fantastic as well. Treat yourself!!!! :)“

Very small and manageable, you almost walk past, a good friend who lives on 71st Street took me "just there".They knew him there, he was a regular customer and so I was able to enjoy something that went far beyond a normal smoothie... just something really successful and tasty that I would want to order again at any time.Don't ask me what I got there... but it was great and I'm very sure that pretty much everything else you can get there is absolutely worth trying.“
