“The owner is from Sicily, he uses his mom's recipe for the meal I had today. I can't pronounce it, but it was a bowl of pasta with Parmesan, tomatoes, peas, beef and bread on the side. I finished the meal and got the recommended espresso. This exceeded my expectations and I have never tasted anything as rich and authentic. I highly recommend this place for takeout, or a quick bite and espresso. Incredible.”

“Just recently found out this deli offers full meals on Friday. We pick it up before they close and it serves 8-10 people. This week is pesto Chicken breast, linguine in a light olive oil and onions (or maybe shallots) and sun dries tomatoes. Salad, dressing and bread.Last week was meatloaf (to die for), mashed potatoes, sautéed string beans and of course, bread and salad. It lasted me all week for lunches at work.”

Drinks are also unlimited, and they were very generous with the pours. The staff were friendly and attentive as well.

If you’re planning to visit, I recommend arriving right at your reservation time. They clean and reset the restaurant after the previous seating, so arriving on time will allow you to enter smoothly once everything is ready.”

It was so nice to eat a meal out and feel like it would be alright. The food was fantastic. Service great. Skylee (I think that was her name. She had brown and blond hair (blondish pony) our server was so kind and the hostess whose name I forgot (black and white hair with the great tattoo of her cat) were so fantastic. We didn’t call ahead just kind of had went for it. Yall deserve a raise. Along with the chef. Such a tasty meal. We will BE BACK.”

“We were in the area and wanted some Chinese food, so we looked around the area and saw that this was one of the higher-rated places. I also noticed that they only take cash and do phone orders. We called on the phone, placed our order, then made our way over. We paid in cash and got the food. I ordered the boneless spare ribs combination platter, which comes with a roast pork egg roll and roast pork fried rice. We also got a small wonton soup. The boneless spare ribs were really good, striking a good balance between the sweet and savory that boneless spare ribs typically have. The roast pork egg roll was delicious and savory. Everything else, though, was not as good. The roast pork fried rice was pretty bland, as were the wontons and the broth that the wontons came with. For the price, though, it was reasonable, so I am not too upset.”

“We had the pleasure of trying New Pizza on the Block while we stayed in West New York. Our sons wanted pizza and we wanted something Italian with past and it did not disappoint! When I tell you it was the best past we ever had, we aren’t joking. The sauces and chicken were cooked to perfection and the pizzas were just delicious. A couple of days later we tried a famous Italian restaurant in Little Italy, which was good, but couldn’t compare. Amazing!”

“My husband raved about this restaurant. He hadn't been in 15 years, so when we came back to visit family in New Jersey, we had to stop. We live in Ohio and rarely get to eat authentic El Salvadoran cuisine. This was my first time having it and it was by far the very BEST meal I've ever had. We ordered the churrassco steak, plantains, maduros (sweet plaintains), rice & beans, guacamole, yuca and the famous pupusas. The service was Impeccable and the food was delicious!! Everything was so fresh & flavorful. Horchata, chan & limonada drinks. We skipped photos, but presentation was excellent. We dug right in. “Malpa Cafe is the best!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to slow down, enjoy a coffee, and have something delicious to eat. You can the owners put a heavy emphasis on quality ingredients when it comes to the coffee and the food they serve, everything was very fresh. Today I had the tomato basil mozzarella sandwich (added salami) and a cappuccino - and both items were exceptional! I am very happy to have Malpa in my neighborhood, and will certainly be coming back!”
