“I live in Ridgefield. I used to order Hunan garden a lot but lost my job and had economic issues. Now for the first time in years I got my general tsao chicken combo with chicken fried rice. I need to tell you something , anyone reading. This is the best general Tsai chicken and Chinese food in general I ever had. Hunan garden was amazing years ago. I am new to the area (I’m a Jersey convert… sorry Brooklyn!!) and always notice this cute place when I visit the park. I’ve always wanted to go but I’m trying to lose weight and I’m on the keto diet (sorry but no keto options here).

Well my grandmother was visiting me so I finally decided to have a cheat meal and cheat treat it was!!!! ? It was delicious!!!

It is pretty expensive as far as getting ice cream goes but the quality and texture was absolutely perfect ?. We love getting the soft serve ice cream. I’ve tried cherry ? dipped cone, vanilla sundae with hot fudge and pineapples and the Italian ice! There were all marvelous!!!!

When I saw that it is a young girl and a little bit older woman working behind the counter each time we visit… it seems like it is a family business and I don’t mind spending a little more to support their ventures. The young lady was extremely kind and friendly every time we visit. It’s hard to find kind young souls these days and she’s a gem ? in the rough. Very sweet family, they can have my money!!

I always get something for myself and for my grandma while she stays with me for a few weeks and now it is grammas favorite place to go!!!!

I’ll be sad to call it quits when I start my diet again but it’s been a fun and memorable summer treat. You can walk up here from the park and enjoy the fresh night air

“I came here with my family and we enjoyed the food immensely. I had the lomo saltado and it was so delicious. One of the best I have had. My husband had the fish fritters (chicarron de pescado) which was so tender and fresh and light. I highly recommend this restaurant. We also ordered a plain hamburger for one of my sons who is picky and it was made exactly as he wanted. My other son ordered a salmon which was grilled to perfection. The restaurant is family owned and everything is made fresh when you order. The service was friendly, too. I couldn't recommend it enough.”
