“First time visiting, and it didn’t disappoint! We came for lunch as a group of 8 and had a great experience. Wendy was our host—friendly, attentive, and clearly a hard worker who made us feel welcome right away.

We ordered a variety of dishes including the chicken sandwich, breaded chicken breast, skirt steak, shrimp, beef soup, tostones, french fries, tortillas, salads, and steamed vegetables. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, with generous portions all around.

One of the highlights for me was the drinks—they offer natural fruit juices, including my favorite: freshly squeezed orange juice. You can really taste the freshness!

Overall, a great spot for delicious Latin food and warm service. Looking forward to coming back.“

We were there last night 12/16/25 and I had literally the best gin based Martini I have ever tasted. The bartender was highly skilled, personable and engaging. The appetizers were fantastic.

“We stopped at Tia Pol after a stroll on the Highline on a Sunday-it wasn’t very crowded but the food and service were great. It feels pretty legit Spanish. They have the classics as and some more uncommon tapas on offer. It’s maybe a bit on the pricey side but everything was executed well.“

“I had an unforgettable experience at MyMoon! I took my friend to celebrate her birthday, and from start to finish, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel celebrated — they truly made the night special. The drinks were amazing — the Strawberry MyMoon and Lavender Sour were both perfectly crafted and delicious. The food was full of authentic Spanish flavors and beautifully presented. “My husband and I like to try new restaurants for Friday date nights. This one is close to home and didn't disappoint at all. I am actually still sitting at the restaurant while writing this review!! Lol I ordered the passion fruit marg and stuffed chicken. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The marg was yummy 😋! I would've loved to hear some bad bunny, but overall great vibe. My only eh was that our server seemed like he was having a bad day, otherwise awesome!! I will be back! Thanks for having us.“

Our faves are the chips and guac, burrito, and of course the tacos.
This is real Mexican, not the Tex-Mex most Americans are used to: Clean, fresh, flavorful, and healthy
The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and professional
Never been there for dinner, only brunch, simply because we usually cook dinner at home
But I have no doubt that the dinner menu is at least as good as brunch

“I went to El Pingüino about two weeks ago and absolutely loved that they offer happy hour seven days a week and it’s becoming a routine for us!
The hours are 4–7 PM, plus a late-night happy hour from 10 PM to midnight.

Their seafood happy hour is pretty simple they only offer one type of oyster but it was super fresh and delicious. Clean, lightly briny, and perfect with just a squeeze of lemon.

And they have really great basque cheesecake!

The overall vibe is relaxed and easygoing, making it a great spot to unwind after work or grab a late-night drink.

If you’re in Greenpoint and love oysters, this place is definitely worth checking out.“
