“We were on the way to the playground in the morning but since I skipped breakfast, I was starving. I was looking for a place on the way to grab something that I could easily eat on the go and found Pan Paisa. It’s a small hole in the wall but they have (mostly) sweet, and some savory pastries, which I believe start at $1.50. I ordered some cheese bread, a cheese empanada, and meat empanada. All were very good and was the perfect way to start the day, without feeling bogged down. Even though some of the items were fried, it didn’t taste too oily. It’s a good spot to grab and go, so I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.“

“This little Colombian spot is a hidden gem! Their hotdogs are next level – packed with flavor, loaded with toppings, and super fresh. You can tell they put a lot of love into making them. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the vibe feels authentic and welcoming. If you’re craving a Colombian-style hotdog with all the fixings, this is definitely the place to go. “We went out for dinner tonight at S-Meat & Hueso in Astoria, and as always, the experience was spectacular. As soon as we arrived, our server introduced themselves and was extremely attentive throughout the entire night. This time we tried the Premium All-You-Can-Eat option, and it was amazing—the quality of the meat is excellent. It's also great for kids; my son had the chicken wings and loved them. To top it all off, we enjoyed some ice-cold beers that were absolutely perfect.

“One of my favorite places for Colombian food. The hamburger was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. The staff provide excellent service and really pay attention to making sure you’re enjoying your visit. Whenever you need anything, they’re always happy to help and respond with kindness. Definitely a place I enjoy coming back to.“

“Great food and margaritas. We got the tuna ceviche and fish tacos to start. Both were really delicious. I’m not a vegan but the kale enchiladas looked interesting so I ordered them and my partner got the skirt steak. Everything was amazing and you can tell the dishes are made with high quality ingredients. We had the tres leches and flan for dessert. Both were super tasty and unique. The tres leches was made with saffron and flan had peaches and basil. Delicious meal! Palenque is a great gem in the neighborhood.“

“I like this place. We had brunch and the food tasted really good. Baked Chix w/ lemon, awesome. Juicy, moist and tasty. The rice and beans w/chicharones, yum. Not into sweets but the flan w/caramel just hit the spot, it was sweet but not too sweet. The ladies, servers, was very nice and attentive. The ambience, upgraded industrial columbian resto, great.“

“This place was an amazing find right before going to a show at the Knockdown Center. We had 2 Chicken Fajitas and some Chicharrones. We did not expect to finish the whole meal but it was so tasty that we had to. The service was great and we got a little complimentary shot of liquor mid meal. Great food, great prices and fun atmosphere. Would definitely come back if I was in the area.“

“Located inside upscale international cafe. We got the mixta arepas which were filled with beef, shrimp, chicken, fried pork belly and cheese (Carne, Pollo, Chicharrón y Camarón Adicional de Aguacate o Queso).It tasted so good until we got to the part with belly party which tasted very bad. Service was extremely nice .“

“Found this place on a road trip and it was such a cute little find! We honestly thought it was going to be more of a quick food stop but ended up staying and eating there. So cute and clean, fresh pastries and a full menu with SO much food!!

Everything we got was so good! We ended up sharing and still had food to bring home. 😂 Service was great too!

“We, a group of retirees, decided to try out this restaurant for our group's weekend gathering. 19 of us showed up on Sunday. The coffee is excellent. The environment is both homy and comfortable. Everybody loves their Tostones Encanto and Sopa de Mondongo. The service is unbelievable. We don't speak Spanish, but the staff made sure that we got what we want. We will definitely come back.“
