Lechoneria New York 1 in Maspeth is an authentic Colombian eatery with a chill and laid back ambiance. The service is amazing, sweet, kind, and patient, with a separate English menu available. The staff is super nice, friendly, and the food is brought out in a timely manner. The food is always fresh and delicious. Everything is exceptional, from the Chicharon to the costellas (ribs). The portions are generous. The tamales were decent and huuuuuge, packed with all the good stuff (arroz, pollo, costilla de cerdo, huevo, tocino, papa, zanahoria). The churrasco, ajiaco, cazuela de mariscos, lechona don’t disappoint. The limonadas super. The lulo milkshake was a bit sugary as was the arepa con queso, still tasty tho. The Tamal Tolimense and Lechona Colombianas were huge, flavorful, and tasty. The pecada for 2 is really good. A bag of small arepas are also given. Everything is definitely worth the price, with a small cash discount. An awesome place for families, friends, and solo diners.
