“Great Spanish everything. Me encanta la actitud positiva que tienen cuando se trata hacia la gente. Carismati@s. The place is very hospitable and cozy. The food is great. Mostly Central American food as it is Salvadoran . You will love the Guatemalan chuchitos and Salvi pupusas..thumbs up!!“

“Such a great mom and pop restuarant that has both delicious Salvadorian and Mexican food. Went here with friends and we each tried a mix of their pupusas, they took a bit to come out but they were clearly made fresh and well worth the wait. We also had their tacos and guacamole, so flavorful and filling. Our server was attentive and very kind. Great reasonable prices for the high quality. Limited indoor seating but can take it to go. Will definitely be returning“

“A sign outside says “aquí se cocina con amor” and you call tell!!!
This is a quaint take-out spot with generous outdoor seating.
I ordered a variety of vegetarian pupusas—loroco, espinacas, frijol y queso, y jalapeño. My favorite was frijol y queso, though all of them were delicious. If you’re vegan, you can veganize your pupusa for a dollar.
$5 per pupusa is more expensive than some places, but they are larger than most.
Dietary restrictions: Safe for people with shellfish allergies!“

“Got the crema marisco soup and some pupusas. I regret nothing. The soup was so good. It was like a pene vodka pasta had a baby with a marisco. So good. Wish they had some Thai chili we could have thrown in there but even if they don’t, I’d still get it again.“

“This is a rare find: a genuine, small, family-run restaurant in NYC. If you want authentic Salvadoran and Latin American food, this is the place to go. I had shrimp ceviches, a fantastic, juicy, and cool lunch on a hot summer day; my friends got pupusas and a sausage and rice breakfast. The price is also extremely affordable. Service was warm, fast, and friendly. It doesn't have the posh appearance of a high-end restaurant, but it makes you feel like you're in an old-school New York establishment instead. Recommend!“

“The food is delicious here! Definitely love the frozen lemonades! Also love the maduros from here !!! Only thing o would say is that the waitresses are sometimes rushing you and don’t really like to accommodate your food. Some of them see it as if that can’t be done or you can’t change what the plates bring. Some are actually understanding and will help you (mostly the younger waitresses) and are nicer.“

“Walked to this restaurant/bar twice from my hotel while on business from the Midwest. I don’t speak Spanish, yet all the patrons and staff do! Everyone was super friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in music, people and food heavily influenced by the Caribbean & Central America. Prices were reasonable, food was great, but the friendly/happy vibe was the best part. I’ll be back…“

“Any time I come to jersey, I make sure to stop by and indulge in some of the best Salvadorian cuisines. If you like Latin food then you'll love it here. My favorite is the Carne Asada. Never have I come across such tender and well marinated steak. I was literally able to cut it with a butter knife! The portions are large and the prices are low. As far as seating goes, well its a bit snug. But its always worth the visit. My family and I always leave with a full belly and a smile on our face. <3“

“The best pupusas in the area are not greasy, the tanning is the best and the attention is super good. My granddaughter was delighted with the balliadas and they are not made by catracha hands. I go one day a week from Queens NY and the price is super comfortable.“

“Best pupusas in my area to my knowledge! The loroco con queso is a must! I'm not of hispanic/Salvadoran descent and I was recommended pupusas and specifically loroco con queso and I have ordered that every single time. The salsa and curtido are also very nice and fresh tasting!“

“More customers need to know about this restaurant! If you're in the mood for pupusas or a wide variety of Salvadorian dishes, this is your spot. It's off the main avenue (Bergenline) so it can be difficult to find if you're just passing by the neighborhood, but this is worth the visit. Pupusas were DELICIOUS, the service was very friendly and accommodating, seating is comfortable and the menu is authentic. I'll be making this restaurant a regular visit, for sure.“

“We had 4 Frijoles y queso Pupusa & 3 Reverta y queso Pupusa which were absolutely delicious with the cortido. We also had the 2 tamales de pollo which was stuffed with chick peas, green peas, corn
Potatos and plenty of chicken. Absolutely out of this world. So nice to see Authentic El Salvadoran food. My wife is Salvadorena so when I bought her here she felt like she was home. Small, quaint nicely decorated maybe 8 tables restaurant. Great service with a smile. $24 for everything. Make sure you leave a nice tip. 10 ? ⭐ ? ? ?“
“Small place very homey like. I have tried their soups ( very tasty filled with veggies and meat!), popusas ( revulto and cheese are my favorite!) honestly you could never go wrong with this place, it is always approximate 25 minute wait so call ahead. Very affordable prices.“
“The place is very clean and the people are very friendly. I definitely recommend them. The food is delicious especially the corvino fillet with plantains and fries! Fascinates me. Every time I go to NJ I always go shopping there. The pupusas are delicious and made to order right away. The food is never reheated. It is always fresh and made to order. I recommend them and they will remember me! ?☺“

“Hands down this place gets all the stars!!! The food was out of this world, very authentic, you can tell it’s family owned, family recipe which tells me it’s all made with love.I walked in and was greeted by all of the staff. I already knew I wanted from the hot buffet, but I’m terrible with ordering food in any kind of authentic restaurants because I can’t say anything Spanish. I also was ordering in a confusing way because I just didn’t know how else to say what I wanted but the woman who helped me was fantastic! She was beyond patient with me and laughing and made me feel comfortable and not like the biggest pain in the butt. I did decide to pull out and use google translate because I knew it was me making things sound more complicated. She laughed, and that cleared up everything, and she even used it back to make me feel less silly which was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I actually walked out with the biggest smile on my face because of that woman, she made my day.I’ve worked in the food business for over 20 years and in management and I have to say, you don’t find service like that anywhere anymore. If that was anywhere else I would’ve gotten a lot of attitude and frustration. I was so pleased and enjoyed my first experience so much that I can’t wait to go back.Even though it’s almost an hour from me, it’s totally worth the trip. Aside from the amazing service and friendly staff, the place was very clean, the food was out of this world, the portions were huge. I got for 2 people and after I got home it wound up feeding 3 people. I give them 10 ⭐️’s because 5 just isn’t enough.“

“Excellent service, my 4 years old daughter is very hard to Please, i when to different places to see if they can do my daughter’s cake and the answer was: I can try my best, not exactly but I can do it, and answers like that, i was not feeling comfortable about it, when I contact sweet Alicia, she just answer my question saying, “it’s going to be more beautiful than the picture”, she was right, my daughter’s reaction was a happy face, and she cannot believed that her cake was exactly the way she want it and it was delicious, I definitely recommend their services.“

“This is my family’s favorite take out and dine in Salvadorian restaurant. The food is always delicious and fresh tasting. When you dine in, the service is great. It is byob, but I do recommend bringing your own cups because their wine glasses are limited. We always order their pupusas and the sopa de res.
Kid-friendliness: It’s not rowdy like most Central American restaurants. The music is at a perfect volume and the atmosphere is friendly. Definitely kid friendly.“
