“They have typical Salvadorian selections there and the food is fresh and very delicious. I bought three pupusas, casamiento, tamal de lote, and a chicken leg. And I'm going back soon and highly recommend it.Parking: You have to look for parking in the street but you shouldn't have a problem. I went on a Sunday and found parking right in front of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is street level so you should have no trouble getting in with a wheelchair.“
“Came in here on father’s day later at night maybe 8pm. Never been here before and found this restaurant using google, reviews were around 3.9 and decided to take a chance.First off the decor is actually very pleasant and place seemed pretty clean. We, 4 of us, came in and sat down and maybe 2 minutes after sitting down we were greeted by a wait staff. She was overly very pleasant, younger Colombian woman. She took our order and it took a decent time since it was pretty busy but nothing super long.Got our food on time with plates all being hot.I tried a typical platter with rice bean mix, cheese, pico de gallo, flank steak and a sausage. I loved everything but about the only thing that I did not really like was the sausage, it seemed a little tasteless. Steak was very soft and well seasoned, my favorite had to be the rice and bean mix! The other parties ordered steak and salad so to get salad wrong is hard but they also loved the steak. I forget the Salvadorian name for the items on my platter.Would definitely recommend this place as a casual dining place. Everyone is friendly and the food was excellent! The Tamarind drinks were very good as well!“
“Had a 10 hour layover so stopped off here for a late breakfast. I’m glad we did - we only had $20 between us but we split a breakfast meal and a couple of extra papusas. The food was delicious, tasted fresh and filling. I was especially impressed by how well you could eat as a vegetarian here.We both left feeling satisfied despite only sharing a plate. It’s a shame the place was cash only and we were low only dollars as I really wanted to try their horchata and some of the refrescos in the fridge. The place is small with only 3 tables but we managed to secure a place and the guy working there was friendly and prompt. Will definitely try to check this place out again if I’m coming through Jamaica.Vegetarian options: Beans, papusas, cheese, soup, plátano, frijoles, eggs“
“Honestly, the food is not the best. However, the tiny staff is very friendly and attentive, as us Richie himself. He has a nice display of music memorabilias. It is a very comfortable neighborhood cafe. It is also very convenient, be next to the 169th F train subway station.“
