Went with my mom and my sister to the Parisian Tea Room for a day out in the city (7/31/26). We ordered the Haute Couture Tea Time breakfast. We were the only ones there on a Friday morning which made the experience all the better. The waiter was attentive and provided a personalized experience that made us feel special. Really such a delightful Saturday afternoon enjoying delicious afternoon tea at this beautiful spot…conveniently near Hudson yards! We were looking for a cute and quaint spot before indulging in some shopping. They have a great spread and everything is very fresh! The PARISIAN TEA ROOM offers a beautiful French decor and a delightful holiday atmosphere that feels like a little escape to Paris. The teas are good, and the food is delicious, with a great variety of sweets like the mini tiramisu. The live music is a highlight, with the keyboard player Marcie being phenomenal and the songstress Marcie Castro elevating the experience with a beautiful voice. However, the experience can be inconsistent. Some guests found the attention to detail lacking, with the table not set properly and staff being inattentive or staring at their phones. For large parties, service issues were noted, including a dessert spilled on a guest’s coat and no offer to help with coats. The restaurant often runs out of menu items, such as the egg salad or sandwich fillings, even for early seatings or reservations made a month in advance. The sweet-and-savory option has only two large croissants with chicken salad and too many sweets. The small teapot only makes about two small cups of tea, and bottled water is brought automatically for a $10 charge. The included gratuity and high price, at $63/person ($86 after fees), do not always match the quality. Overall, it is a good experience with wonderful music, but service and food consistency need work.
