Halal Restaurants in Queens, NY

“I’ve been coming here for a long time, and this used to be one of our favorite halal carts. We would regularly drive in from Long Island with groups of friends and family, especially for the falafel, which was always outstanding.

Unfortunately, since Hamza left, I’ve noticed a significant decline in both the service and the overall quality of the food. The owner has always been friendly and seems like a genuinely good person, so I’m not sure exactly what’s changed behind the scenes, but it just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Today we came as a family, and there were three new employees working. It was pretty clear they weren’t happy to be there, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We did have a larger order, but in the past that was never an issue—we were always greeted warmly and appreciated as customers.

I’m leaving this review because I genuinely want to see this place succeed. The food and service used to be exceptional, and I hope they can get back to the standard that made so many of us loyal customers.“

“I’ve been going to Chapli for a while now. The people and the food are great. I love their attention to make sure the food is cooked perfectly every single time. I even asked for a ton of sauces on the side and they had no problem, whatsoever!! Definitely worth a try for a nice fulfilling halal meal.“

“If you’re craving some seriously good fried chicken, you have to check out Tex Chicken and Burgers. Their spicy fried chicken is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had: crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite hits just right, and the spice level is perfect, not too overwhelming but definitely brings the heat. (I love spicy food :))

What really makes this place stand out, though, is the customer service. Deep and his team are absolutely incredible. Deep is always so kind, professional, and genuinely sweet — you can tell he really cares about making sure every customer leaves happy. He goes above and beyond, every time. It’s rare to find service like that these days.

“This spot consistently serves up bomb chicken, lamb, combo over rice. The bbq sauce is so good! The rice is well cooked, the meat seasoned, and the portions is just rice. Sometimes even for 1.5 meals. The car has been here for sometime and I hope it stays!“
