“I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

“One of the best halal food carts! Rice and chicken are well made and cooked alongside their lamb. I have tried many halal carts but this is one of the few carts whose food is really good. Been coming here for many years and their quality has remained the same. You won't be disappointed!“

“My wife had been craving Tajen ever since we had it on Morocco. The food was as if we were sitting in Morocco. We ordered two soups Harir and lentil soup. I personally like Harir but lentil soup was ok. Then we ordered Lamb and fish Tajen one with rice and other with bread. Lamb Tajen was out of this world. Fish Tajen was good too. But if you don't have a big appetite, I would highly recommend skipping everything else and just have the lamb Tajen. Atmosphere was cozy and service took a bit of time because they make it fresh so be patient. Overall great experience of having Morocco food without spending thousands of dollars.“

The food was well spiced. Portions were not really shareable. The chicken dishes were especially small amounts. The chicken 65($12)and chicken tikka($18) came with 4 small pieces and 5 small pieces respectively. The laccha paratha was also not even actual laccha paratha. With the bad out the way, let’s hear the good.
The service was very good, they take care of you and your needs. The biryani was tasty and the vindaloo had some nice heat to it. All the food was tasty, I didn’t have a bad dish. I would come here again.“

“June 26, 2022. Walked to get our order of a Lamb wrap, chicken wrap and fries. First time there and a welcome place to the neighborhood. The staff are friendly, the place is new and clean and most important the food is very good. Will return many times. Check it out.“

One thing that stood out was how quickly everything was prepared — the food came out almost immediately, which made the experience really convenient without sacrificing freshness. The only small issue was that it was a little difficult to hear the employee speaking because she was very quiet and the plexiglass made communication harder. “Having a meal ordered from Shah's in Inwood is like having Thanksgiving dinner with every order because the food is outstanding, consistent, fresh, and the service is excellent!! My son and I have been ordering from Shah's 2 - 3 times a week for the past 8 months because the restaurant never fails. My son orders the meat combo and I order either the falafel or fish platter. Both of us order everything: white, hot, and barbecue sauce; chick peas and black beans. In addition to the cukes and tomatoes, customers can also add olives and pickled red cabbage on their meal!! Tiebah and Thaliah are always welcoming, and always remember our names and our orders. We are never disappointed!!!“

“I went with my bro to try this chicken spot and it was top. I ordered the big back burger and it crushed !! The combination of all the toppings plus the special big back sauce was so good. My bro ordered the Alito fries , I tried some of the chicken - soft and tasty. We shared waffles and chicken as well. The waffles were great. The plus thing - all of it was halal! “I’ve been coming here for a long time, and this used to be one of our favorite halal carts. We would regularly drive in from Long Island with groups of friends and family, especially for the falafel, which was always outstanding.

Unfortunately, since Hamza left, I’ve noticed a significant decline in both the service and the overall quality of the food. The owner has always been friendly and seems like a genuinely good person, so I’m not sure exactly what’s changed behind the scenes, but it just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Today we came as a family, and there were three new employees working. It was pretty clear they weren’t happy to be there, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We did have a larger order, but in the past that was never an issue—we were always greeted warmly and appreciated as customers.

I’m leaving this review because I genuinely want to see this place succeed. The food and service used to be exceptional, and I hope they can get back to the standard that made so many of us loyal customers.“

“If you’re in Queens and you haven’t been to Broski Grill yet, you’re sleeping. This is the city that set the standard for halal street food — and Broski Grill is holding that flag with both hands.
I got the combo over rice with fries — crinkle cut — loaded with chipotle sauce, white sauce, hot sauce, and green sauce. Look at that box. That’s not a meal, that’s a flex.
The rice is a proper base, the meat is seasoned right, and the crinkle cuts hold up under all that sauce without going limp — which tells you the fries are fresh and the timing is on point. The sauce game is elite. White sauce is herby and creamy, the hot sauce brings real heat, the green sauce adds that fresh brightness, and the chipotle ties the whole thing together.
