“The best Mexican food I've had in New York. Great nachos, great tacos, quesadillas, really everything I've gotten has been great.

My wife and I come here for taco Tuesdays and everytime we're in the area.

Solid date night, solid chill bar, solid dinner spot.“

“When we review restaurants it should be in the context of what they are, and what they are for. This is a beyond serviceable lunch spot that seems to invalidate existence of the nearby chipotle, and possibly even the nearby sweet green.

The food is fresh, the prices are reasonable and the portions are immense. The staff is friendly and the place is clean.

The food is also, by the way, quite tasty.

There are a lot of lunch options in the neighborhood but this is clearly one of the best if you are seeking a chipotle style meal.

I feel as if given the context I have no choice but to give this place five stars“

“Quick eats spot that I think is underrated. Amount of food is reasonable for the price and not to mention delicious. I ordered takeout but there are about 3 tables in the restaurant for dine-in. Also, it’s a mom and pop shop and their daughter works the register. They’re super respectful and sweet. You should definitely go support them and try their yummy food!“

“One of my favorite place to grab lunch during lunch break. Usually like their burrito bowl. Like the food but front cashiers behavior is not nice. All the time they make faces as if they are tired and not at all welcoming.

“Absolutely a hidden gem! The meat is juicy and flavorful. Really hit the spot. It’s hard to believe we have authentic Mexican cuisine in east queens. But this place hits. We will definitely come back

“I did enjoy the food at Hellbender, but the service could have been better.
We were among the first guests seated, yet it still took about 5–8 minutes for our server to notice us and bring water.

The portion size of aguachile is quite small, considering the price. The Brussels sprouts lacked flavor.

On the positive side, the empanada was amazing, as were the mushroom tacos and fried cheese.

Update: The brunch menu is so good and tasty. The service was much better than our previous visit.“

“It was a great evening celebrating my mom's birthday. The appetizers, entree, and dessert were great. The service was attentive, friendly and informative. The only thing I would change is that all the entrees should be served with the sides of rice and beans.“

“This cute quirky Mexican deli / restaurant. It's not really the place to sit but kind of is a place to sit and have a really good meal. It's a reliable place to grab and go. I like it cuz it has a place to sit and I need a place to sit and eat my egg potato bacon platter...It's got a deli atmosphere with teeny tiny tables drapped in Mexican tablecloths topped with authentic food served by cheerful people who cook it. They smile when they serve it to you. Unlike the overpriced diner on Broadway where she's just about throws it at you well she's looking at the next table.I like my toast almost burned and here I get it exactly the way I want it slathered and butter. They're super friendly and professional. I enjoy watching the regulars come in with their unique order. They have amazing Mexican food. You can also get egg on a roll. This place is squished into the first floor of a corner shop and does good business. They play good music and have good vibes! They have fair prices“

“Great find near our hotel in Long Island City. The atmosphere was warm and lively, service was friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. From the chips and guacamole to the main dishes and great drinks. The food was flavorful, well-presented, and honestly exceeded expectations.

The only reason for not giving five stars is a very important safety detail. The churros are listed on the menu as being served with chocolate, but what was actually served was Nutella. Thankfully, my partner noticed immediately, as someone in our party has a tree nut allergy. This could have resulted in a hospital visit if it hadn’t been caught in time. He mentioned it to the manager on our way out.

We really enjoyed our meal overall, but menu accuracy with allergens is critical. Hopefully this is addressed, because aside from that scary moment, the experience was excellent and this place has a lot going for it.“

Our only issue was when we arrived there wasn’t any music playing for a while and out of nowhere loud music started playing which threw us off as we were sitting by a speaker. Will probably do take out moving forward because these tacos are definitely seeing me again.“

“Lovely quaint restaurant next to the train station. I was interested in a cecina plate, which was not on the menu, but the owner graciously cooked to order for me. The mole veracruzano was different, unique and strong in flavor; unlike the mole I grew up eating. The mole enchiladas had plenty of shredded chicken. Very pleased with the service too. “My go to birria spot!! Found it here at 36th ave near my school. A family run restaurant with a variety of authentic Mexican foods that are fairly cheap compared to other spots. “My family and I ordered a quesadilla mixta, a chicken quesadilla, and tacos with carne asada, al pastor, and birria plus chips and guacamole and everything was absolutely incredible. Every item tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Easily a 100 out of 10. I usually order for pickup, but this was my first time trying delivery and it arrived in just 20 minutes. “I love coming here. Great juices! Love it very much! ImThey have passion fruit juice, pineapple juice, coconut juice, horchata, and cantaloupe/melon juice etc.! 💕 It is delicious! My friend orders the Mexican hotdog and loves it. It comes with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onions, tomatoes. He said it is very good! My other friend orders the “ Tacos dorados” with chicken and they come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sour cream on top. My friend says these are very good too. Maybe could use more flavor he says but still they are very good! Photos are attached! They have a good Mexican steak torta which is a steak sandwich that comes with Mexican cheese, beans, guacamole, a sauce, lettuce, tomato, it is very good and I like it!!! The yellow lemonade in the photos with the steak torta is not from them. I also love their brown juice which is “tamarindo / tamarind” !!! Their other juices are very good as well !!!! 😋“

“Not too long ago I came here and ordered the molcajete, and it honestly blew me away. It came out sizzling hot, packed with steak, chicken, shrimp, and cactus in this smoky, flavorful sauce. Every bite was delicious, rich, tender, and perfectly seasoned.

You can tell the food’s made with care and love. The staff was friendly, the vibe was relaxed. I’m still thinking about that molcajete. definitely something I’ll be coming back for.“

“Small place mostly pick up or delivery with huge selection of items. Burritos are very tasty i Bought both pork and beef burritos, They also had fried chicken salted beef spicy versions of all and will serve hot sauces on the side. The portions are huge and very tasty.“

“This is our favorite local spot for legit Mexican dishes. All of the staff at this family. owned business are always so lovely. The restaurant has been open since around 2011. And it’s no surprise. The food is delicious, and the ambience is very comfortable. You feel like you’re at home. My mother, a very good cook, always told me that making food taste good is easy. You just prepare it with love. Que Rico is definitely following this approach. The tacos and quesadillas are my favorite things to order (al pastor/carnitas are my go to). The people that work here are super nice. I LOVE the tamales, and the enchiladas with mole verde; and their flan is excellent!“
