“Stopped by last night and had a great experience. We made a reservation via Resy and were seated right away. We loved the ambiance. It gave such an intimate, close knit setting. The music is so cool and trendy - goes along well with the vibe. The menu is straight to the point with amazing options. We ordered the Caesar salad, VCR pizza, espresso pot de creme dessert and a cocktail. First of all, my cocktail (Night Rally) is soooo delish!! The Caesar salad is an extreme 10/10. I absolutely loved it! The VCR pizza… another 10/10! The sauce and pepperoni and a bit spicy for those who are sensitive to spice. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. The dessert was such a pleasant, light surprise! I asked if they have an affogato and the substitute was such a relief! We loved it. Just one downside with one of the employees there - she wasn’t too friendly. Good thing she wasn’t our server. Either way, I absolutely would return in a heartbeat!!“
“Gorgeous space, food was amazing. Would definitely come back to try more items off the menu. This time, I had the opportunity to try the hot mess with prosciutto on top. It was delicious. Went at an odd time between 2-3 so place was very quiet. However, it you can do not miss out if you are in the area and try this place out.“
“I went with my family to celebrate my 32nd birthday. The food was 10/10 andres, our waiter was super kind to us. The appetizers were super delicious. When the main course arrived, Andrés recommended that we combine my steak with a wine that was spectacular. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again and again.“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“Pizza was good sauce was also good. The place is small and outdated for the prices. Almost to the point I wanted to skip pizza shop but friends insisted and they did not disappoint. Just wish the outside matched the food so it feels like the prices are worth it.Parking: Lucky if you can“
“A nearly perfect combination of ambiance and food. Got there at 7pm on a Saturday night and was able to snag a table for two. Ordered the ricotta, honey, and pepperoni pizza. It was close the best pizza of its kind I have ever had. Generous selection of wines and smart cocktails. Pastas are also very good. Reasonably priced. Just an overall well executed restaurant.“
“stumbled upon this on a weekend drive out into depths of queens in the early afternoon food was great and savory hand made pasta and alcohol drinks were exceptional citrusy and flavorsome. An overall very well catered place with great food and ambience. great palce for a first date or a couple driving on the weekend.“
“This and Pizza Sam's the last good pizza places in jackson heights. Pizza Sam is overpriced. This place is a bit overpriced but it's not to bad, they gotta compensate for inflation so i get it. The guy at the counter is great. If u guys read this I got a question. U deliver 10 blocks up to 93rd street? Between roosevelt and elmhurst ave? Thanks“
“The service was immaculate. Ana did a fantastic job at giving us a great experience. It was our first time here and she was attentive, kind, and fun! At the end she let us spin the wheel to win a prize and I got a free soda, but I was a little bummed because I wanted to win a free shot, but she gave me it anyways! Not just the service, but the food was actually really good. It is a lowkey place, but with great food with great portions for a fair price. The drinks were definitely potent as well. We ordered the arepas for 2 that came with nachos, colombian hot dog, premium steak fries that came with a fire show, sangria, and a modelo. Everything was so filling that I had to take most of the food to go. I would recommend this place to everyone!!“
“Such an amazing environment with great vegan food. I haven't had much vegan food but, if it tastes as amazing as the Warrior Sandwich I just had here! Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. I'm on board. Phenomenal food, great atmosphere, live music and DJs! This place is indeed special! I will be back here.“
“The Margherita pizza is made with whole diced tomatoes, it's very refreshing and not greasy at all. The pepperoni is generously portioned, and as an end to the day, I feel very satisfied. I'm glad to have such a great pizza place in Astoria.“
“This is a halal Algerian spot with very authentic food. They have sandwiches and platters and some flavorful side dishes. I had the merguez sandwich and chicken sandwich, and a couple side dishes. The Merguez was amazing, very delicious sausage type dish in a hero roll with fries inside. There's not a lot of seating space so it's a great takeout spot.“
“Hidden gem ?Traditional Italian restaurant, loved the authentic experience here.?The atmosphere definitely reminded me of being in Italy, especially the owner who made everything from scratch. It was an amazing experience.?make your way here if you truly want an Italian experience, with no rush, sitting, and socializing... and the food will come when it comes.?the service was on the slow side because it was a full house, so it was understandable.?My favorite was the Buffalo, basil, cherry pizza. It was delicious.?the nutella pizza with strawberries was perfect for dessert & sharing.Vegetarian options: Options available.Dietary restrictions: Options availableParking: Metered parking until 7pmKid-friendliness: High chairs available. Kids menu available. Crayons and paper for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Indoor and outside seating available.“
“Hubby saw Philomena on Social Media and decide to try it since it’s not that far in our neighboring town.Typical pizza joint decor with some seatings inside but they served up some good crispy crust pizza! We came in on a Friday evening and the place was packed. We got the Margherita, Jersey Shore and Dragon Breath by slice. You can also get the pizza in small personal pie as well. The pizzas were tasty plus we are always fans of crispy crust pizza. Their thick slice (dough) was kind of fluffy and not too heavy and dense which we like a lot.“
“I've lived in NYC for over ten years and this is the best tasting pizza I've found so far. The pizza man there, Ciro makes delicious pizza every time, and, speaking from personal experience, he makes it the way it should be made. Handsome guy too. I recommend you go visit.“
“Rocco’s has become a staple in our family for a nice early dinner. The food is spectacular and really as close as it gets to eating in Italy itself. All the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are prepared perfect. My favorite dish is their special which is a spicy vodka chicken parmigiana with spicy rigatoni — they add fresh pepperencino for a little extra kick (it’s better than carbone). The service is always top notch. Most recently we’ve had Lauren the past few times and she’s always on her A game (as is all the staff). Going out to eat with a 1 year old is tough sometimes, but Rocco and their staff are so accommodating and kid friendly it’s a no brainer when deciding where to go to eat.We will be back as soon as we can!Kid-friendliness: Highly recommend - always accommodates us and their entire staff makes dining out with a child so easy and enjoyable.“
“If you want a fresh crunchy pizza, you gotta check out this pizzeria! They are so nice and the orders are done pretty quick which is a big plus. It's very clean, and a great array of food choices + desserts. Definitely will be coming back. My daughters loved it. Thank you Bella Donna!“
“Recently discovered this pizzeria and have been there a few times. I usually order the Margherita slice, which is delicious. The sauce is flavorful, the cheese isn't overpowering, and the crust has just the right amount of crunch to it. Though I wish the space was bigger, that won't affect me from returning to try other pizza varieties.“
“Great happy hour, beautiful decor, yummy small plates, friendly service. If ONLY they didn’t pump this musky woody cologne scent into the air. I still smell it in my hair from last night and I can’t escape it. Would have given five stars if not for the smell.“
“My neighborhood pizzeria and absolute favorite! I love the different options to choose from. I have too many of their different types as a favorite of mine, original, Margherita, chicken tomato, taco slice and many others. Their grandma slice is my mom’s favorite. I grew up getting treat with their eggplant rolls in Thursdays when my mom was a lunch lady at Our Lady of Hope. I used to split it with my best friend. Great food, great memories, still as delicious as ever!Wheelchair accessibility: My dad used to come in here with his mobility scooter. He said the waitresses would help him in and get him setup and he’d go there several times. He found them very kind and helpful.“
“Food was very delicious and would reccomend. I ate a pepperoni pizza with basil and the Caesar salad, and I have also heard the calamari is very good although I did not get it. The service was normally good, although we did have to wait for water refills for a sizable amount of time. The atmosphere was very loud and since I have hearing aids, the seating was not very friendly but the food and service more than enough to make my review go back to 5 stars.“
“Since I was a kid I’d get a slice here. Due to unfortunate events in my life I had to switch up my diet so I had to stop eating here. Can you believe I had to settle for boxed pizza?! Had my first fresh slice in years today. I felt like crying a whole ocean. When I tell you the vegan slice reminds me of the regular New York slice, I am not lying to you. Can’t wait to try all their vegan options next time. ❤️“
“I love going to this place because the worker are so welcoming and kind, I got free food and I was shown kindness. The food here is also delicious, and I can't thank the worker for giving me a slice when they were already closing. Such great ambiance too.“
“The owners is a great guy, very friendly and social makes me wanna sit in or even come back, this pizza was amazing I got a vodka Square slice and I put hot honey on it, it was amazing. I gotta come back for. Not only that slice but I gotta try to the other ones.“
“This is the best pizzeria that I have been to all my life, good guys, they taught me what their name is, how to pronounce Kerry, they taught this word and it’s interesting, good dishes, the atmosphere is very good, very good, I recommend it to “
“There was alcohol, but I went there with teenage kids. Korean idol music videos kept playing on the large TV, and the atmosphere was good. Most of the food was salty, so it was difficult for the kids, but I think it was perfect to go with beer.“
“Thank you, for always being there, Brother's Pizzeria. I always stop in when I'm visiting my parents, and enjoy the nostalgia of the place that's been serving the best pizza in the area for over 40 years. This visit, I sat on the same stool I always did when I was a child, and ordered my usual slice with extra cheese. And it was just as I remembered - crispy bottom, holding up the weight of the extra cheese, nice & hot out of the oven - perfection. I also ordered a pie and some beef patties to bring back to California for my family - a new generation of kids who love Brother's. May they continue to do so for 40 more years.“
“I was originally going to Sofun noodles around the corner but when I got there they told me nothing could be made gluten free (I have celiac and thought the rice noodles would be ok). So Yelp came to the rescue and I'm so glad I tried this place! The gluten free margherita pizza was possibly the BEST gf pizza I've ever had. Chewy, soft, pillowy crust. I had to ask the server if he was sure it was gf when I saw it. Too bad I don't live around LIC, otherwise, I'd be ordering here all the time!“
“Although it's cash only and on the pricey side, it is worth every penny. Food it delicious, staff remembers you even if you haven't been there for awhile. My wife went in recently, although it was early and they weren't ready to do baked clams, they did it for her.We love their mixed fresh seafood. But their pizza is second to none. Their pizza in our opinion is NY BEST. Any topping you want, they have. You'll eat every bit, not even the crust is left over, in fact you work your way to the crust and that's the finishing point. That leaves you completely satisfied and filled.Love this place!!!I'll update with pictures next visit so you can visualize how delicious their food is.“
“I had the regular slice, Grandma and Upside Pizza. WOW to all 3. The best one by far was the upside down pizza. The tomato sauce was so fresh. The cheese was amazing. The best part was the crust, it was so soft inside and crispy outside. Phenomenal! Dan L. recommended this spot. Now, I recommend it to all of you. Best pizza in Queens! This is my pizza spot forever!“
“It is a pick-up only restaurant, it does not have tables to eat inside. We ordered pizza to take away, quite delicious. The only version I didn't like was the Hawaiian pizza, the pineapple was a little bland. Otherwise highly recommended“
“Probably some of the best pizza I’ve had in nyc! Also , excellent service and ambience. They also brought fresh bread and olive oil- a rarity these days in Italian restaurants . So delicious and would love to come back again! Prices a little on the higher side- but the ingredients are super high quality and glass of wine was very generous“
“Nice little shop! Reasonable prices on goods. My husband and I stopped in for a slice and sandwich for lunch to take home. When I tell you this is probably some of the best pizza in the city- believe it. We opted for a pepperoni slice, that's usually a good baseline. The crust, cheese to sauce ratio, and pepperoni placement was absolute perfection. The sandwich was packed, fresh arugula, meat perfectly sliced, and the bread and cheese- every bite was just as good as the last and we were sad when it was over.Service was great, friendly. This place has a real hometown vibe to it, and I love it. Will definitely be back in the future.“
“So my wife and I just ate at Gino's. It's by far the best pizza in our area. I'm here to rebut the review about the guy who thought the pizza was too thin and burnt. I kill for thin and burnt. I understand we all have different tastes, so let's just say the wrong person got that pizza that night. Gino's is great. The sicilian pie is fantastic. His sandwiches on all on point and he uses the best ingredients because it's not always about the profit. Thank you!“
“The staff and owners are very professional, welcoming, and seem to enjoy interacting with customers, especially those who are regulars. The pizza is excellent. I tried the Primavera, Vodka, Grandma, and Neopoliton, and all were delicious. Their entrees are good as well. I enjoyed the Eggplant Rolitini. I definitely recommend that you go there.Vegetarian options: Pasta or Pizza Primavera, Eggplant dishes, pasta, salad.“
“Clean location, great pizza options, friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the following slices! Brown Stew oxtail Turkey bacon Chicken black truffle Alfredo Curry oxtail Curry chicken Sweet chili oxtail Jerk chicken You can definetly tell that the toppings are seasoned to perfection!“
“If I were to review this restaurant, I'd say it's a slice of Sicilian heaven right in the heart of Astoria. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in warm, familial vibes. The staff, from the owner to the chef to the waiters, treat you like one of their own, adding a personal touch that's hard to find elsewhere. The atmosphere is simply enchanting, transporting you back to the cozy kitchens of your childhood. Every dish is a masterpiece, crafted with love and tradition, just like Nonna used to make. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a home away from home, a sanctuary of Sicilian flavors and memories. A truly beautiful place that you'll want to return to again and again.“
“BEST NYC PIZZA JOINTMy experience with Prima Pizza is always the best, They have such a big selection of authentic food options. Prices are Affordable and my favorite part is every food dish is cooked freshly! Staff works very quickly and is very friendly. This restaurant is always clean and organized I recommend you dine in for the full experience! Coming from a Chicagoan this is the best pizza I’ve ever had at a pizzeria.“
“Nestled in the heart of Sunnyside, Sotto de Stella is a modern pizzeria with a small menu of delightful bites. I had the margarita pizza which was light and crispy with fresh ingredients and a wonderful bubbly crust. The eggplant parmigiana was very good. The meatballs were ok. I am still trying to figure out if they were pork or beef. The hazelnut Nutella cake was very nice. I will definitely be back to try the other pizzas and salads. Try it out! You will not be disappointed.“
“Ordered the ECB burger and fries for delivery. Excellent, excellent burger. So satisfying and well seasoned. The fries were addictive. 9 out of 10. Would order again when I'm in the area. It's midnight and I just ate the burger and I wish I had another one and more fries because it's that good.“
“I am a regular in this ambient restaurant. Their employees are just great and so friendly. Their food is excellent as well. I tried almost all kind of pizza slices over there. I am lactose intolerant and I never had any issue having their most cheesiest pizza.“
“Been coming here since I was a kid. Even though I no longer live in the area, whenever I visit family, there's no better place to get a Sicilian slice in all of NYC (not just Queens). And the regular thin crust cheese slices are great too!“
“Hidden gem. Not just a pizza joint. They have lots of hidden options like the Korean Chili Chicken or Chicken Teriyaki. I’ve also purchased delicious naan from here as well. All at reasonable prices and very delicious. I wouldn’t necessarily dine in due to the atmosphere but I always visit because of the quality of food. ??“
“First time buying from this pizzeria and it was great. The staff member in the front was super friendly and kind. She was very accommodating. The garlic knots were so good and the mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh. Glad there is a pizzeria in the area!“
“Recently ordered a panini, chocolate brownie, and blueberry cheesecake on Uber Eats. The food was undeniably delicious—I have to commend them on crafting the best panini I've tasted in a while! However, there was a slight hiccup in the order—they delivered 2 brownies instead of one, and unfortunately, the blueberry cheesecake was missing. Considering the cheesecake's higher value compared to the brownie, it was a bit disappointing.Despite this minor disorder, I must say the food quality itself was top-notch. The flavors were fantastic. Taking everything into account, I'm rating my experience at 4 stars. The service slip-up aside, the overall culinary experience was truly enjoyable.Looking forward to another order for that outstanding panini, and maybe a chance to savor the elusive Vegan blueberry cheesecake next time!“
“I love this place usually take out & more delivery than anything else but during the summer I do dine in after the park w my kid & sometimes hubby either way the place never disappoints!Kid-friendliness: Staff is great & never new“
“We booked the room in the back for a bday party. The room fits a party of 20 comfortably. Our server was friendly and worked diligently to meet our requests. We ordered quite a few things from the menu and they came out quickly. All the food was delicious and their portions were good. This was our second time coming here as a group and they did not disappoint me.“
“Amazing amazing Amazing!!! I don’t normally leave a review but it was too good to not share my experience. Made a business order it was quick efficient with no headaches.I informed them to write names on the order, came to pick it up, not only did they write it, they placed it in SEPARATE bags and no mistakes on the orders. My coworkers and boss were very happy and pleased. Amazing service and the food was phenomenal! Definitely will be ordering here more often.P.S. the owner she was very sweet and kind!“
“Omg it was so good!!! I have been passing by this place for several years now and telling myself “I must stop by” but they close relatively early since Covid so it’s a bit harder to go. I finally went in today and got the meat burek and it was heavenly. We have something similar in Moldova but I honestly like this version better. Will be stopping by to try the cheese and the spinach and cheese ones. The yogurt is excellent too. Good service!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
