50 Best Pizza Restaurants near Kew Gardens

“Ive known about Dani's for a long time but their wait times have always thwarted me from stopping by. This time, it was a slow, quiet Saturday evening and I had plenty of time to spare so I placed my order online. Purchasing online gives a 10% discount. I ordered a large regular pie and an eggplant 🍆 parmesian. It came to a total of $34.00

The parking around 7pm on Saturday night was okay. I can see that area getting very difficult during weekdays, however. The entrance to Dani's is a narrow area and it seems like they use just one oven which is maybe the size of a refrigerator which probably explains the long wait times. They were also, as expected, very busy. The service was very welcoming and friendly.

The pizza 🍕 was, what I would describe, as an orange pie. The crust was thin, had some char and was very chewy. The sauce was on the sweet side and the cheese was basic. I would say the slice was better than what you're going to find at a local slice joint but I would not say the pizza here is in the elite category. The pie was an average size and for $18.00 (with a 10% online discount), I think its a good deal.

The eggplant parmesian was very good. The cheese and sauce was similar to the pizza and the hero roll was lightly toasted. The bread was very good. My only complaint about the eggplant parmesian, and this the same for mostly everywhere, but its that the sauce and cheese are only put on top and the other half off the eggplant has no condiments. Other than that, the sandwich was very satisfying.

Given the history, reputation and the fact Queens residents are always hyping this place, Id say that any fan of pizza should give Dani's a visit. I can clearly see why it is a Queens favorite but I personally would say that while it is surely above average it just falls short of being in the pizza stratosphere of NYC.“

“I was told about this pizzeria by a friend. Who was searching for good rice balls. So they got the rice balls from here and said they were amazing. So I had to come try for myself. The rice balls was definitely delicious and tasty. The right amount of rice to meat ratio. You get 2 rice balls for $10. You can't just order one, have to be a 2 minimum. But honestly I was fine with that cause One is so good that your going to want to order another anyways. I saw their Lasagna on the menu. I would try that the next time I come.

“I love the pizza here, especially on weekends. If I go mid week sometimes it’s not as good.

The service is a bit of a problem for me. While I like going, I frequently feel talked down to by the young women hosting/serving there. There is very little effort put into explaining the menu. I don’t drink, and I see a visible annoyance when we return the drink menu without an order. The person serving me food and pouring water is often a brown busboy. At this rate, I’d rather just put in my order myself. (I hope they tip out to the busboys and back of the house!)

The other day, for a very important occasion w a reservation & note, they made us wait 30 minutes, no apologies and nothing to make up for the wait. I used to go quite often and now feel weird about going.

The atmosphere is confusing. It’s super beautiful inside but the acoustics make it a bit hellish. Some of the worst people of the area get together, screaming loudly, or even talking- and you can’t hear yourself think. But that’s not rly the restaurants fault!“

“We dropped by Ace's Pizza around 3pm., Brooklyn, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Ave NYC and it was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—amazing service all around. “Been a Chrissy’s guy since the fun pop-up days, picking up late night pies at Chris’s house in BK, the times I lucked out in the unique “lottery” system to get a reservation for pick up lol. I miss those days, but so glad he got an actual store to showcase his pizza. All the pies are excellent with fresh ingredients, the best tomato sauce around and perfect crust. I love many, but my favorite is the new-havenish. That ignorant review that slammed the pie annoyed me, when it was prepared exactly as the reviewer admitted it was described!!! This pie is brilliance for those of us that love a tomato pie, but the stakes are raised with the briny delicious pecorino and Calabrian chili flake. Mozz does not go on this pie nor does it belong on it! Chrissy’s pies are out the door at about $40, but I don’t know the last even casual quality meal out in NYC that cost less than $50 - $60 per person at the minimum. Let me split a Chrissy’s pie with a friend for $20 each…have a beyond satisfying meal, and go to sleep happy. Keep doing what you’re doing brother!“

“Amazing Pizza Experience

I honestly can’t believe how delicious the pizza slices at Benny Tudino’s are! 🍕 The slices are absolutely HUGE — one slice feels like the size of a large pizza back in England! 😍

The pizza was fresh, delicious, filling, and full of flavour. It’s definitely an experience you have to try when visiting Hoboken. The old-school atmosphere makes it even better.

The only small downside is that it’s cash only. I completely understand that it’s their policy, but for tourists and international visitors, accepting cards would definitely make things more convenient.

Apart from that, absolutely amazing! If you’re in Hoboken, Benny Tudino’s is definitely worth a visit. 🍕🇺🇸“

“I’ve been coming to Champions Pizza at rego park for a while now, and it never disappoints! I usually don’t have fav spots but this one might make the list! My go-to order is always the Margherita pizza, and it’s never let me down. Everything tastes fresh, the slices are always hot, and the crust is so good. “Their Caesar slice is one of the best unconventional slices I've ever had. First of all, they don't reheat it, so if you're expecting a hot slice for this one you will have to wait for a fresh pie.

The slice stays completely upright, and this is key for the enjoyment of it. If the slice got soggy or floppy it would be a terrible experience. It doesn't taste like regular mozzarella on the pizza. Maybe they use a cheddar blend or something, but the choice of cheese compliments the tangy salad perfectly. They're also generous with the Parm.

Be wary when eating the Caesar slice, Parmesan cheese will fall off and possibly get on your clothes.

The other slice was the spicy vodka. Upon the first few bites this one didn't wow me like the Caesar, but towards the end I was appreciative of it. Just a solid slice, but I would likely try something different next time.

The interior is fantastic, it's unfussy but well thought out. Clearly a throwback with the patterned floor, red cups, and old school trash can. Booth and table seating. I really appreciated the self service water station which implies they care about people coming and dining in. The other amazing detail was a hand washing sink next to the trash can. No need to use the restroom after enjoying a greasy slice, and you can return to your day clean as a whistle.

The other slices looked just as inventive as the Caesar. Classic gimmick slices with a chef's touch.

Don't tell other people about this place. It would be ruined with a line out the door.“

Their white honey & cheese is good but only because of the white sauce. Wasn’t a huge fan of the crust but it’s good when the pizza is fresh from the oven. Crust is paper thin. “Had dinner at Rosticceria Brooklyn last night and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly roasted, juicy inside with crispy, well-seasoned skin. We got the focaccia on the side, which was soft and pillowy with a great olive oil flavor.

“Got the VCR 16 pie. The Cesar salad with chicken cutlet and parm garlic bread sticks. Pizza was definitely above average a smash between old world and modern style. Thin crust but not to thin. Bread sticks were classic the side garlic butter sauce is a nice complement.

The Cesar salad is as advertised incredible. 100% recommend. Dressing and cheese is perfect.
On 4 stars for service because they didnt have to go utensils at all, even when asked.

“I had LaVista on my list of places to visit on a recent trip to NYC and it did not disappoint.

I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni and 2 slices of margherita. Even though there were slices available, fresh pizzas were just about to come out of the oven, so the guys invited us take a seat. A couple of minutes later we had 4 slices of fresh pizza.

“The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. The handmade pasta was absolutely incredible; fresh, perfectly textured, and the kind of pasta you can immediately tell is made in-house with care. And the Neapolitan pizza? Easily one of the best I’ve had in NYC. Light, airy crust with that perfect char and high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves.
