Earlier I went to the 24hr pizza spot on the corner but that was not it.

Rodine will be my go to pizza joint in Kew“

“I only had a plain slice here, and while it isn't quite my style, it’s worth a try. I see why people like the pizza. The sauce is heavily applied and has loads of sugar in it, making it a bit too sweet for my taste. The cheese has that familiar, slightly plastic texture, but because it’s loaded with so much sauce and cheese, it's definitely a 'juicy' slice. My main critique is that the toppings weren't spread out enough to the edges, leaving the crust a bit dry. That said, the crust itself is decent. On the plus side, the staff was fast and friendly, and the vintage atmosphere looks really cool. I’d definitely go back to try some other items off the menu.“

“Honestly, a stunning gem of a neighborhood restaurant. I loved their beet salad with dates, the dates were so soft and juicy. The pork chop was very good, but just a little bit dry for my taste. The desserts were smashingly good, we had the olive oil cake with cream in a prune sauce, as well as the coffee mousse. Would highly recommend!“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. “Went last night for St. Valentine’s day, I must confess I ended up here by mistake, my reservation was in another restaurant across the street, but for some unknown reason I came here and it was amazing, my only regret was not being here before… Food was beyond amazing, the lasagna is a MUST! I have never had something like that before, would love to go back again.

I would think that on a busy day like this, service/food might not be the best, but they proved me wrong, staff was very nice,they didn’t take forever with our food, music was nice too.

Can’t wait to go and try the brunch one of these days…

PS: I tried the cucumber drink, which is alcohol free and it was also very good, the olive oil cake since the tiramisu had finished,it wasn’t bad but I bet they have better options for desserts.“

For our first course we had grilled artichokes, white asparagus, and peppers with ricotta toast. All were simply prepared but seasonal and delicious. Pastas included spinach tortelli (very rich but tasty), fettuccine (perfection), bucatini with njuda (my favorite of the bunch), and gnocchi with sausage (meaty, fennel-y, and oh so satisfying). All the pastas were different but equally divine. Cocktails and gelato were great too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top quality Italian pastas and appetizers that are seasonal, fresh, and simply prepared but deeply comforting.“

“Dinner at old-school, red sauce joint, Bamonte in Williamsburg, one of the oldest restaurants in Brooklyn.

We are so glad we went early; this place is a scene! When we left at 9, there was not an empty table or seat at the bar. They still have a cigarette machine at the bar + two phone booths.

After cocktails, we had eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and pork chops with vinegar peppers, finishing dinner with Amaro Averna. The food was good; the service, outstanding.

And as a bonus, Kevin Kane from Law & Order SVU was dining there too!“

A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. “A close walk from the Met. We went on a Friday night and asked for an outdoor table (our reservation did not indicate either inside or out). Service was wonderful. We started with the meatballs which were good, but it was only 4 small meatballs. I enjoyed the Rigatoni with Sausage and Mushrooms. The fettuccine with beef ragu was also good, but missing a little something. The cannolo for dessert was a highlight.“

“The environment is comfy and cozy when you walk into restaurant and they had host waiting for us to sit our table The food Was great, for me and my mom , and stepfather as we all ordered different things from meat to seafood, and pasta dishes. The one ravioli that had a little ice in it or cold which i take one star away from it. But other than everything was good. Also, the owner is very nice and came to talk to us to our table.“
