“If you're in queens and want authentic Brooklyn pizza come to this place I'm not even kidding,I took a bite of the pizza and right away my wife said "it tastes like Brooklyn pizza"And sure enough the origins of Sofia are from Brooklyn! I usually drive to the other side of Brooklyn to Bay ridge to get this quality of pizza now I can save myself the trip!great customer service! I had a problem with my Caesar wraps thankfully the manager took care of the problem.“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“Unfussy vibes with impeccable flavors. Every bite of every menu item is unpretentious and feels home-cooked, yet elegant and backed by years of honing their craft. Been here more times than I can count and always can’t wait to come back.Always leave here not just with a smile but feeling nourished. And thats a rare thing, something that only happens when everything from ingredients to people to philosophy all click. 10 out of 5 stars.“
“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“
“A New York Institution IMHO. Amazing pizza, great beer, cool vibes, friendly & knowledgeable staff, to-go counter, seasonal outdoor area. Indoor seating may feel claustrophobic to some. They might make you a pizza no longer on the menu ?, 2/5 success rate.“
“Lovely little restaurant within walking distance of where we were staying. Service outstanding! Never felt rushed despite not having a reservation. The food was delicious. As with most restaurants these days, it’s a bit noisy but the music overhead was not overpowering. We will definitely return here when back in Brooklyn.“
“Lilia is our favorite restaurant in New York!! It is worth all the hype and more! Not only is the food fantastic, the service and management team is amazing as well! They have gone above and beyond for us! Anyone looking for an amazing experience, this is the place to go!“
“The service was amazing! No large crowds and your free to linger for as long as your like. The brunch menus was great, I highly recommend the avocado toast, the beet salad, and the bolognese sauce. Our servers Roberto and Anisa were friendly and had great drink recommendations.“
“I’ve walked past this place everyday for more than a decade and I never went in because I always thought it was too expensive; up until a few days ago that I went to have dinner for the first time and it wasn’t as expensive as I thought! The food was bomb, calamari was stupendous and the chicken great. Service is on point and the ambiance is also nice.My total bill for dinner for 2 was around $100 and totally worth it.“
“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“
“I went with my family to celebrate my 32nd birthday. The food was 10/10 andres, our waiter was super kind to us. The appetizers were super delicious. When the main course arrived, Andrés recommended that we combine my steak with a wine that was spectacular. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again and again.“
“Don’t let the outside fool you, always walked past but the inside has a whole different atmosphere. It’s rather lovely and reminds me of France/Italy, fresh flowers and staff is amazing! Not to mention how amazing the food is! Some of the best food in Astoria, heaven for vegetarians. I’m not even vegetarian and the Charred broccoli panini is one of the best things and I’m not even vegetarian. Must try in Astoria“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“The best little Italian spot in bed stuy. The food is soooooo delicious. The staff and owner are super fun to talk to. It's super cozy inside and on the patio out back. And worth every penny.Favorites: oxtail ragu (of course), brown butter sage gnocchi, burrata, and tiramisu♥️.I've been coming here with my fam since it opened and it never disappoints.“
“I love coming back to Sandro but the food did take longer than usual last time. I assume they were just a little busier than usual. But, like always they were accommodating at attentive to the fact that we were sitting and waiting with no food at our table. They seem to always notice the other important details most of all being making the food delicious. One detail that had amazed me is in all my years I have never walked around into a public bathroom and not wanted to leave because it smelled unbelievably amazing! I don't know what diffuser they have in there but I want it for my living room!“
“I have been trying to find this style of pizza (fresh soft chewy but crispy dough) ever since I moved to nyc. So happy I found it ?the decor inside is simple but aesthetic. They have a small selection of beers including two local options. Staff were lovely.“
“Shoutout to Niya for holding down the entire second floor on her own. She made sure we had all of our bottomless drinks and anticipated our orders, while making sure all other tables were ok. Awesome experience I’m always happy comig to Ainsle for brunch.“
“Natalia our server was amazing , she provided her suggestions with wine options and they were great! She was very attentive and sweet , the place was very clean , food was great suggest the meatballs , Spaghetti Bottorga, Garganelli and Agnolotti.. Enjoy ❤️“
“It’s the best bowl of pasta you can get. I’ve been here 5 times in the past year. All the pastas are handmade, even the GF! Every pasta is done so well! Service is great, and if you like a little spice order the Calamari Arrabiata yum!!!!!!!!!!!“
“This place is a pretty decently priced handmade pasta place. The texture of the pasta was a quite excellent al dente, which I enjoyed. The gnocchi was really soft and I liked the sauce that came with the Monday gnocchi special. The sausage pasta had a great texture but didn’t have much sausage and was a bit underflavored. The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. Arancini was pretty crunchy but not sure if worth the price.Cramped sitting area but we managed to find a table for 5. Overall, reasonable pricing, good pasta texture but flavor was lacking.“
“****Michael’s Of Brooklyn Restaurant****Hello, I am MR. BIG RED, and I want to share what a Great Night on The Town, I had last evening, with my friend, Scott Ruscillo. We dined/partied at Michael’s of Brooklyn Restaurant, and immediately were made to feel at home, as we were treated like Kings!!! The ambiance is very warm, classy, spacious, yet quite comfortable. The food is absolutely exquisite, scrumptious, delicious, course after course, dish after dish, with beautiful presentations. We started off with a Campari & Soda with Lemon, and a Bourbon Concoction from the Cocktail Menu. More Campari, and a Tangueray Negroni followed. Then Scotty and I sampled: The Chilled Crabmeat Cocktail & delightful Fried Calamari Appetizers. For the entrées, my Boy had a perfectly cooked Medium Rare Filet Mignon, with Asparagus. I chose The House Special, a melt-in-your-mouth Veal Chop Parmigiana, with a side of Spaghetti Bolognese. Two and a half hours into our meal, we made room for dessert. Scott had the largest Lobster Tail, stuffed with Whipped Creme and drizzled with Chocolate Ganache Sauce, that I’ve ever seen. He paired that with a Frangelico Coffee. I had an Assorted Sherbet dish with 5 Amazing flavors of Sherbet, and paired that with a Double Espresso and Romana Sambvca…...I purposely parked two blocks away, in Marine Park, Brooklyn, as I knew I would need a stroll after this tremendous dinner, and I have no problem walking City Streets around Midnight, even though I’m carrying a Louis Vuitton “Murse” clutch. My friends know what I bring to the party…..LoLoLoLoLoL.My dear friends, Matthew Mari, Esq. (Famous Defense Attorney), and Billionaire Businessman, Political Talk Show Host, John Catsimatidis and a whole host of politicians also dine here. As a former Finance Chairman of The New York Conservative Party, I can see why. Additionally, I understand that this is a favorite restaurant of Andrew Dice Clay’s and of Joe Piscopo’s, amongst a whole host of other celebrities. The Management; Chef, Kitchen Staff and Waitstaff are most Attentive, Amazing and Uber Professional. Michael, John and their Staff made our visit to Michael’s simply I N C R E D I B L E ! ! ! I highly recommend this establishment. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Ask for Michael, and tell him MR. BIG RED from Table #1 at Park Side sent you….Bon Appétit, my friends!!! Thank you to all of the Great Folks at Michael’s for making our “Boy’s Night Out” a Spectacular one, across the board. We’ll be regulars!!!Kindest regards,MR. BIG RED.“
“I recently dined at Vinateriá and I must say, the food and service were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The menu offered a variety of authentic Italian dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The service was attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience exceptional. I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic Italian meal. 5/5 stars.“
“Great black owned business, food is good service is ok. Wrong place for a meeting but a good date space.Vegetarian options: There aren’t vegan options - just a weird menuParking: Parking is very hard to find in that part of townKid-friendliness: Do not bring your kids - there’s no kid friendly menuWheelchair accessibility: Not accessible for wheelchair“
“No frills, no glam, just GOOD PIZZA. This is our absolute go to spot for pizza anywhere in there city. I am out in Queens and whenever me and my family want pizza, this is our go to place. We’ve had almost every type of slice at this point and none of them disappoint.“
“Our local pizza gem!Shrimp / Clam / Vodka / Funghi are the mvp slices. Picante also good if you like the heat.Tried the burger today which really hit the spot.Owner / Staff are very friendly. Pizza chefs care a lot about their craft, down to the last basil theyre garnishing with.“
“We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“
“Adrienne's NYC is a culinary gem nestled in Broad Channel, Queens. It never fails to dazzle with food and gorgeous views of the water! The ambiance, decor, and service makes the experience unforgettable. I have had the pleasure of attending both dinners and events at Adrienne's Restaurant and it's consistently EXCELLENT EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.The menu is unique with melt in your mouth choices. One favorite: Bolognese with a rich sauce that transports you to Italy. And, save room for dessert because Colleen's cheesecake is legendary! The owners are on site and active in service. This is a true oasis so make reservations for a special occasion or an extraordinary meal; you will be satisfied from start to finish!“
“This and Pizza Sam's the last good pizza places in jackson heights. Pizza Sam is overpriced. This place is a bit overpriced but it's not to bad, they gotta compensate for inflation so i get it. The guy at the counter is great. If u guys read this I got a question. U deliver 10 blocks up to 93rd street? Between roosevelt and elmhurst ave? Thanks“
“stumbled upon this on a weekend drive out into depths of queens in the early afternoon food was great and savory hand made pasta and alcohol drinks were exceptional citrusy and flavorsome. An overall very well catered place with great food and ambience. great palce for a first date or a couple driving on the weekend.“
“Enjoyed this friendly, classy, modern European brasserie whilst staying nearby in Greenpoint. Burrata and pasta were the highlights combined with a local IPA from a micro-brewer just down the street. Warm and friendly service from the team, but relaxed and casual. Great job guys!“
“The service was immaculate. Ana did a fantastic job at giving us a great experience. It was our first time here and she was attentive, kind, and fun! At the end she let us spin the wheel to win a prize and I got a free soda, but I was a little bummed because I wanted to win a free shot, but she gave me it anyways! Not just the service, but the food was actually really good. It is a lowkey place, but with great food with great portions for a fair price. The drinks were definitely potent as well. We ordered the arepas for 2 that came with nachos, colombian hot dog, premium steak fries that came with a fire show, sangria, and a modelo. Everything was so filling that I had to take most of the food to go. I would recommend this place to everyone!!“
“LOVED this place. The pizza was fantastic (much better than most neopolitan places in the US, though the pizzas are a bit more busy ingredient/topping-wise than your usual neopolitan pizza), had a great salad. I loved that they had a bunch of imported Italian beer, most of which I’d never even heard of before but was really fun to try. The tiramisu was amazing - tasted truly homemade with actual mascorpone, lady fingers, and the right amount of coffee and cocoa powder. And the lemon sorbetto was surprisingly great and came served in an actual lemon!! Will def go back. One of my favorite discoveries in NYC.“
“I finally returned for the first time in over ten years, and Il Passatorehas maintained its high quality and modest prices. Hope to return again sooner than in ten years. I dine at some of the best Italian spots in Brooklyn, including Lilia and Michaels of Brooklyn, but this place, in its own way, can hold its own.“
“This place is ridiculous , one of the best chicken parm heroes I ever had , what stands out more then anything is their quality of ingredients , very clear they’re hauling the good stuff and you can taste it , never knew this place was there but holy smokes I’ll be back often , staff also was super friendly, sick “
“The only proper Italian coffee in Harlem, or for that matter most of NYC. Sit down and savour a finely made caffeinated beverage in a nice ceramic cup! They also have spectacularly great house-made pasta, and delicious pastry. Great vibe, staff, and hang.“
“I came here for a birthday in the party room on the 13th floor. The service was very good. The people attending to us were very attentive and accommodating to our needs.I went downstairs to the bar and the bartender, Renee, was super sweet. She was easy to talk to and helped me with finding a cocktail for the birthday girl. If you do get to visit while she’s there, her “Frida” and Kamikaze with cranberry juice were my personal favorites of the night.Thank you so much and I hope to visit again soon!!“
“What a great experience at Vetro. The staff is amazing. They are so polite and respectful. Special thanks to Teal at the front desk for finding a table for my wife and I so we could celebrate our wedding anniversary!! The place is spotless clean. Food was tasteful and yummy. We're definitely going back.“
“I love this truck because it's independent individuals making quality, fresh, craft food. I actually get a hot dog more often than a sausage hero, but both are very good. They allegedly use a Sabrett's (skinless) dog just like everyone else, but their dogs are far plumper than you find from most other places and they use a Martin's potato roll. And they're grilled, which I prefer to the boiled dogs from the other truck up the street. When I get a sausage hero (which I just got myself in the mood for), I get it topped with marinara sauce. There's only one negative to this truck. They shut down at around 3:30pm each day and I don't think they're ever there on Sundays or holidays. In my perfect world, they'd be there practically 24 hours a day, so if I had a craving at 11pm, I could get my dog or sausage hero. Like everybody else, they've raised prices - dogs are $4 and I think the hero sandwiches are now $12, but still well worth it.“
“The menu is amazing, and the specials they are out of this world .....the chef will cook anything you want, the restaurant was very clean. the bartender Salvatore was professional and friendly ,very knowledge of mixology of any drinks ? that you want. I had excellent experience from management Nicholas and Joe to the Service, I recommend it 101%Vegetarian options: The chef cooks anything you want .“
“Way more than just an espresso bar. They have a kitchen and bakery and all of the food and deserts are amazing. The best coffee I've ever had as well. The prices are some of the cheapest you can find these days. It's a phenomenal place in every “
“Personally, this spot is a 10/10 for several reasons. The personable owner is from Italy and knows how to provide great service and authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect for me: lowkey, dim but not too dark, nothing crazy or lavish just a homey, great dining experience. The butternut squash was to die for. Definitely going back!“
“Great Family operated restaurant and sports bar. NO Problems great service and cold drinks. Always a nice surprise last month there was a live D.J A Couple weeks later was a Jazz crew. Very relaxing and dont forget about the Deseret dishes.“
“Took my boyfriend here on a date and we had an amazing time. Anthony, the pasta instructor/chef, was amazingly funny and made the pasta class fun. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to cook the pasta we made. Price was great for everything it included.“
“This place was incredible…. Walked here from north Williamsburg and will be definitely be back. Had the Ragu and it was some of the best pasta I have ever had. It was so perfectly Al Dente and fresh. The chicken Milanese was probably our favorite dish but everything was amazing. We came with a vegetarian and a vegan and everyone left very satisfied! The drinks are also great.“
“Felt like I was at a family members house for dinner. This place is deceptively spacious. There are three dining rooms and a front bar area. We were seated in the 2nd dining room and greeted with menus which were single page which I like because it usually means everything on there will be good.Def get the calamari. The red sauce it comes w is poppin. I could live w/o the stuffed mushrooms next time. The veal parm was quality. The manicotti was better than the lasagna.Stay for the desert. I’m getting tiramisu for take out on the regular now and it was like $8. Thanks manducatis. I’ll be back for sure“
“I highly recommend eating here!! The food is Amazing!! The Service is always on Spot!! They are always friendly and helpful. You never have to wait to call your server, there always on top of it!! The atmosphere here is so pleasant. So in all you MUST try Filomena's you will not be disappointed!!!!“
“As a Queens local, I think the thing that impressed me the most was the variety of fresh ingredients at a reasonable cost. Their cocktails are amazing. We ordered a tuna tartar special, salad, gorgonzola gnocchi, and their famous pressed veal parmagiana. 2 drinks for each of us and a slice of their pistachio tiramisu. We were so impressed by the staff, asking our names, our allergies, etc. Our waitress Isabella was so warm and helpful with any questions we had. We truly truly were so impressed. We can't wait to return. This place is a must try.Vegetarian options: They would be able to accommodateDietary restrictions: They asked ahead of time for any allergies.Parking: Compliment valet. Appears we showed up before the rush and parked on the street at the meter.Kid-friendliness: Children were dining at other tables. Staff brought over booster seats as necessary.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to enter. They would be happy to accommodate anyone I'm sure.“
“Absolutely wonderful place with outstanding dishes. Let me clear out couple things. When you come in to dine here it feels like you just travelled to Italy. Every single item on the menu has a unique authentic flavor and you can even taste the passion and care that was put into preparing it. We are so glad we discovered this place and from now on not only us but our friends are big fans of ViaVai.It is a small place with amazing atmosphere. And if people say that food preparation takes too long, I don’t know what is too long when at the end you receive an absolute masterpiece on your plate! There is no hit or miss at ViaVai, every single dish on the menu will make you happy.Try everything and do not forget panna cotta at the end!“
“Nocciola is such a great restaurant! We live in the neighborhood and we never thought we would find this gem in the area. The food never disappoints and the servers and manager are always very attentive and accommodating. My bf and I choose a different plate when we go and have worked our way through the entire menu. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go so you can enjoy this family owned restaurant and see exactly why they have been around for a decade. You will not be disappointed. It’s our favorite date night local spot.“
“Good food, with mostly hits and a couple of misses. Really good were the baked clams, mussels, stuffed artichokes, Veal Marsala, and linguini w/ clam sauce. The eggplant parm was burnt and the sole oreganata was soggy. Be prepared to be requested to leave when they are busy (we were, while we were still drinking our coffee)Nevertheless, I would still go back.“
