I highly recommend them, granted a world class pizza place is next door... but even Singa's pizza is not something I'd turn away. And given how much easier\\faster\\cheaper ever an issue it is to get their pizza vs Danny's, I recommend them even for pizza.“

“The environment is comfy and cozy when you walk into restaurant and they had host waiting for us to sit our table The food Was great, for me and my mom , and stepfather as we all ordered different things from meat to seafood, and pasta dishes. The one ravioli that had a little ice in it or cold which i take one star away from it. But other than everything was good. Also, the owner is very nice and came to talk to us to our table.“

“Finally made it to Salvo’s and it did not disappoint. Serving some truly delicious sandwiches- we shared the mortadella with burrata/pistachio pesto and the eggplant parm. Hands down the best eggplant parm I’ve ever had. Such a beautifully curated space, feels special but not pretentious. You could tell everything was made with the freshest/high quality ingredients and the utmost care. Can’t wait to go back!“

“By far the best Italian in Astoria. Yes, it's very pricey (full on Manhattan prices) but it's a rare instance where you're paying for real quality.

Mushroom risotto with truffle was excellent, perfectly al dente, and not overpowering with the truffle. The ravioli were super delicate and definitely made fresh in house. Pricing at $32 and $38 is pretty nuts for a plate of pasta, but they were very good.

For appetizers, the calamari was clearly fresh, lightly breaded, and perfectly fried, and the meatballs were moist and tender.

Timing between the courses was great; enough time to digest and enjoy the meal with no rush.

Dessert - tiramisu and panna cotta - was fine but nothing special and overpriced at $14 a pop. I'd skip it next time.

All in all an excellent, albeit very expensive, meal and without a doubt the best Italian in Astoria.“

We had tired, hungry tummies, and were a good hour from our original reservation time. The good people over at Sac's accommodated my family immediately, and with pleasure! The atmosphere was welcoming, comfortable, inviting, and straight up authentic..this coming from a Sicilian girl with olive oil in her veins. My family ordered a variety of dishes, each one spectacular! 2 different pizza's, fried zucchini, sausage, and the BEST shrimp scampi I have ever eaten! The staff treated us like family, and were super attentive, anticipating our needs, and not missing a beat. At the end of our meal, Domenico Sacramone, one of the owners came by our table to chat, it was lovely and greatly appreciated! That's the extra touch of love, and attention someone who really cares about their business, and their customers puts out! It was genuine, and made the experience that much better!
