This restaurant features distinctive dishes, offering not only common Mexican cuisine but also some unique and special items. I was particularly impressed by their cactus dish, which was delicious with the combination of meat and seasonings. It's a great place to explore and savor traditional Mexican cuisine.
Freshest vegetable Chalupas I ever had and the only truly authentic Swiss Enchilada in NYC. Their coffee was only the instant kind but deliciously prepared and served in traditional mugs. Calm, quiet, yet colorfully tasteful setting and hostess was as genuinely inviting and personable as family. Reasonable prices too.
Great authentic Mexican food and family style vibes at this Astoria spot. I had the carnitas tacos and they were excellent. The corn tortillas were spot on and the filling had a nice meat to fat ratio. The taco plates do come in three though and I wish you could mix and match to try different ones. Not a bad spot in the area though for some good Mexican food!
