“Wonderful Italian restaurant near the water in Long Island City. Definitely recommend setting a reservation as this place does fill up. The restaurant staff show great professionalism They were warm, attentive, and welcoming, providing prompt service. The cocktails were strong but both tasty and refreshing. From the pizza to the tartare to the pasta, everything was freshly prepared and full of flavor. It’s literally nothing like authentic, freshly prepared pasta and they nailed it. Definitely high on my list of top Italian spots I have experienced.“

The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. Just go, you won't regret it.“

“Walked in with a friend on Friday night for dinner. It was busy but they were able to seat us quickly.

Beautiful space. A lot of thought and intentionality was put into the flow of the space, with different types of seating and an “m” shaped bar which is a welcome alternative that allows the flow of people to be uninterrupted when people gather, and gives good visual space markers between the bar area and table area. Decor is cute, and with old italian style red checkered table clothes with paper on tol, lots of deep greens and great use of texture in the space. Behind the bar is reminiscent of scorpion records but organized, with old license plates, trucker hats and electicisms.

Good wine list, and drinks are appropriately priced for the neighborhood.

My friend and I ordered meatballs, the velma salad, and the vodka lumache. Meatballs were excellent, exactly what we were looking for- great texture, excellent slightly spicy and appropriately salted meat, and classic red sauce that makes you want to lick the dish. Bread with meatballs was perfect for the dish. The velma salad was ok- it could have been either better dressed or just salted before tossing for better flavor. The spicy vodka lumache was good- but not a pasta I would order again. It wasn’t particularly spicy nor did it have the creamy classic vodka sauce taste. Still, the flavor was good, just not what we expected. Pasta was cooked perfectly al-dente. I would definitely order the meatballs again.

Overall, great atmosphere and good experience. Will be back to try their other offerings“

“Unbelievably good Italian food! Only thing I’m upset about is the fact I’ve wanted to eat here for 3 years and never actually went inside to eat! This place is a hidden gem. This is real quality Italian food, cooked and served by the same family since the 70s. The hosts, waiters and staff truly care about your dining experience and it really shows. Everything and I mean everything we ate was top notch. I got the carbonara my wife got the chicken parmigiana. I loved mine! Huge portions, quality ingredients. You can just taste everything in your food. The calamari was delicious, nice big calamari with a light breading and the marinara sauce is a real homemade sauce. You will not regret eating here I promise you that! They have a huge wine list and are very knowledgeable and willing to help you make a selection. I love the old school ambiance and the fireplaces are a beautiful touch! Prices are very reasonable! Actually kinda cheap compared to many other restaurants down here. I can’t wait to go back!“

“Everything is great. Coming here over 25 yes. One thing I noticed who's overall incharge he is no Tony. And never will be. Stained tablecloth oil bottle on table dirty and greasy. Dirty windows. Tony would never have put up with that. I also miss his cooking. It's the little things. But Tony would never put up with this. Everything had to be perfect.“

“I immediately loved the vibe here! It felt very 1940s NYC! Great window views of the airport. The bartenders immediately greeted us. We ordered the Mortadom sandwich. It came out warm and crispy, fast, and cut in half, as my husband and I shared. The side salad it came with had a great dressing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I’ve been going here for 10 years. Since they got a POS and a wall menu it’s changed. I used to order steak egg and cheese with bacon and onions at anytime of the day and there wasn’t an issue. Now it’s considered breakfast. For some reason the lunch steak sandwich has less food than the breakfast steak sandwich and it’s more expensive. The old man seasons the steak the best, so if he’s not on the grill, it won’t be as good. Just another small business changing things up and ruining something good. More workers, newer equipment, price rises, quality suffers.“
