“I can't get over how good and consistent Gino's is. The homemade crust has a lot to do with it, I'm sure. I live in Manhattan and can't seem to find a good pizza shop, but I work in Queens and I frequent Gino's often. They have a pretty wide selection beyond pizza and everything I have tried (which is about everything) is fantastic and tastes just as good each time I order it. They also make a very solid capaccino. There's a family-run vibe and the staff are always friendly and eager to help with whatever. Thanks, Gino's!“

“Honestly, a stunning gem of a neighborhood restaurant. I loved their beet salad with dates, the dates were so soft and juicy. The pork chop was very good, but just a little bit dry for my taste. The desserts were smashingly good, we had the olive oil cake with cream in a prune sauce, as well as the coffee mousse. Would highly recommend!“

“Dinner at old-school, red sauce joint, Bamonte in Williamsburg, one of the oldest restaurants in Brooklyn.

We are so glad we went early; this place is a scene! When we left at 9, there was not an empty table or seat at the bar. They still have a cigarette machine at the bar + two phone booths.

After cocktails, we had eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and pork chops with vinegar peppers, finishing dinner with Amaro Averna. The food was good; the service, outstanding.

And as a bonus, Kevin Kane from Law & Order SVU was dining there too!“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. “The environment is comfy and cozy when you walk into restaurant and they had host waiting for us to sit our table The food Was great, for me and my mom , and stepfather as we all ordered different things from meat to seafood, and pasta dishes. The one ravioli that had a little ice in it or cold which i take one star away from it. But other than everything was good. Also, the owner is very nice and came to talk to us to our table.“

The restaurant held ~70 guests comfortably, the food was delicious, the servers were very kind and attentive, and our contact at the restaurant was incredibly responsive and easy to work with leading up to the event. We would recommend this space to anyone looking for a private event space! Or for a yummy bite to eat in the neighborhood.“

“Finally made it to Salvo’s and it did not disappoint. Serving some truly delicious sandwiches- we shared the mortadella with burrata/pistachio pesto and the eggplant parm. Hands down the best eggplant parm I’ve ever had. Such a beautifully curated space, feels special but not pretentious. This is real quality Italian food, cooked and served by the same family since the 70s. The hosts, waiters and staff truly care about your dining experience and it really shows. Everything and I mean everything we ate was top notch. I got the carbonara my wife got the chicken parmigiana. I loved mine! Huge portions, quality ingredients. You can just taste everything in your food. The calamari was delicious, nice big calamari with a light breading and the marinara sauce is a real homemade sauce. You will not regret eating here I promise you that! They have a huge wine list and are very knowledgeable and willing to help you make a selection. “Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house.
