“I love this small local place. Self serve with a few small tables, and no bathrooms. Most people do take out, but we like to eat there. Their torta sandwich or chicken enchiladas in green sauce are my favorites. We've also tried the fajitas and they are good too. Pork chops were a bit dry, but I would give them another try. Good selection of soft drinks and they have horchata.“

“Good food reasonably priced. Don’t like that too many teenagers hang out there without purchasing any food or drinks and there’s no space for paying customers to sit and eat. Management seems to take a blind eye to this.“

Idk why ppl hate on this spot so much, been here 3 times and all been pretty decent. Large windows good lighting helps with the vibe. Lot of students so can get loud but was pretty under control. Chipotle Forest Hills absolute wack with their portion, just saying, here's decent“

“It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. I hope to return soon.“

“I really loved this place. It has a nice indoor and maybe an even nicer outdoor area. The staff was very kind too. I came here with a mission. 😎 I’m a huge fan of tripa so of course i tried the TRIPA taco and i chose ASADA too with steak. I really loved both, the textures, the flavours, everything was great. I loved the texture of the tripa tha most!!! Oh and the texture of the tortilla… wow, i loved that too. 😋“

“I visited this taco spot and the food was amazing! I wasn't entirely sure what I ordered because of some unfamiliar terms on the menu, but except for the quesadilla, we tried 6 different items and every single one of them was delicious.
However, the seating is quite limited and not very comfortable. If you live close enough that your tacos won't get cold on the way, I’d highly recommend ordering takeout instead.“

They were very kind, welcoming and family oriented here. The place is small, I will say, it’s way smaller than I expected but nonetheless, we were quickly seated and the music was good the entire time. This was a memorable experience , thank you!“

“Found this place online. We ordered chilaquiles con salsa verde , French toast & iced cafe de olla. The place gives a Mexican home style atmosphere. It’s a small space & got busy after 11:30am on a Saturday. We got seated quickly. The chilaquiles were shareable and had a mild spicy. The French Toast was MASSIVE and shareable. The crust was slightly too toasted making it a bit difficult to cut through. The arrangement of fruit was nice tho. They added mango which was a nice touch. The cafe con olla does well iced and definitely has the olla taste. Highly recommend the chilaquiles con steak y salsa verde. The staff were very friendly.“

“Had the breakfast burrito 🌯 been wanting to get to this place for a while.

Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good. The chorizo was the one I went with definitely wasn’t disappointed.

I don’t think it’s worth a far drive but if you’re in the area or it’s not completely out your way it’s definitely worth stopping in for a visit. The place does have seating but not a lot of room. There is a park near by and lots of outdoor seating near the area. That’s what I chose to do.

The breakfast burrito price was amazing especially for nyc the food was good quality and really delicious. The sauce everyone was talking about wasn’t over powering. Matter of fact I wish I had more next time I’ll ask for some on the side felt like I needed an extra pump 😂.

I truly enjoyed this place and I’m sure you guys will also the coffee was mid but it’s ok food makes up for it.

“The loaded fries are amazing reminds me of my home town California has some of the best Mexican foods and this make me feel so close to home foreal… I think I order these at least twice a week eventually I’m going try something else because I know it’s good well I have tried their churros and those was really good“

“I came across the El Tio Tamale cart on my way to a workout class in the neighborhood, and I’m so glad I stopped! Every tamale I’ve tried has been delicious, but my favorites are the red sauce tamale and the chicken mole. What makes this place even more special is the passion behind it. He told me that he and his family wake up at 3a.m. every day to make the tamales fresh, and you can truly taste the care and effort in every bite.

He’s also incredibly kind and welcoming. One day I was $2 short, and he simply smiled and said, “It’s okay, I’m here every day. Just give it to me next time.” 🥺 That level of kindness really stuck with me.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Highly recommend!!!“

“It’s rare that I rate any place a 5. I really wanted a birria pizza for my birthday but they ran out of birria. Destiny went above and beyond to make it up to me. She surprised me with a bunch of other options that were amazing! Surf and turf tacos, and chicken tinga tacos are a 10/10! Very professional, very sweet!“

Got the birria burrito, thing was huge, came with consume and was amazing. Felt like it was made with love. Chips and a coke and I don't need to eat got the rest of the day.

“Dolores is the perfect step above casual; dimly lit, intimate, and very “worth the wait” NYC dinner spot (and there will be a wait, so go early). We started with chips, guacamole, and cheesy refried beans, and honestly, all three set the tone. The chips were house-made and perfectly crisp, the guac was bright and lime-forward, and the beans were creamy and rich. The El Rey short rib taco was super tender and packed with flavor in a delicious house-made tortilla, and the cheese-filled croquettes were crispy, melty, and paired so well with everything. The papadilla (blue masa stuffed with potatoes) was simple but done really well. What stood out most was how well everything worked together - we said we wouldn’t come back without ordering the exact same spread.

Service was excellent! Friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. The only downside was the drink menu: very tequila-heavy with limited alternatives, but that is to be expected at a Mexican restaurant I suppose lol. The spicy margarita wasn’t great, but the cucumber-forward vodka cocktail was refreshing and probably the only one I’d reorder. Also worth noting: vegetarian options are somewhat limited, but the ones we tried were all genuinely good. Overall, Dolores is definitely a spot I’d come back to (& I hope it’s soon)!“

“First time here, got to try the carne asada tacos and carnitas chalupas, they were great! Juicy and tender. Our only issue was when we arrived there wasn’t any music playing for a while and out of nowhere loud music started playing which threw us off as we were sitting by a speaker. “Great food for incredible value! I used to come here 4-5 times a week for lunch when I worked in the area. Now I go whenever I have the chance. “My friend and I visited Elnico Rooftop on 5/19/26 on a hot spring evening, and we had such a wonderful experience. The sunset views were absolutely beautiful. I had heard that earlier in the spring season some of the surrounding buildings can block the sun at certain angles, but now that it’s later in the summer, the sunset is much more visible. Even before the sun fully set, we were treated to a stunning pink and purple skyline that made the evening feel extra special. I also loved the pastel, modern décor and furniture throughout the rooftop, it gave the space a stylish yet relaxing feel. Combined with the open layout and fresh air, it created a bright, airy ambiance that was perfect for unwinding. The guacamole was fresh and delicious, with just the right hint of spice. I ordered the short rib entrée, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, and it came with tortillas and salsa that paired perfectly with it. The potato and yucca puree was to die for. The cocktails were refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor, and we even appreciated the small ice cubes in the drinks. We had. We had a pineapple on punch, prickly sour with tequila and a prickly margarita.. I wished the cocktails could be a little bit stronger. The rooftop itself is spacious, wasn’t overcrowded during our visit, and the R&B music added to the great atmosphere. The venue is dog-friendly, which is a nice touch, although I think having a designated area for dogs would make the experience even better, especially on windy days when fur can travel near other tables. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, views, and ambiance, and I would definitely return for another visit.“

“Second time ordering take-out from here. They’re really friendly and have great service, but it’s not going to become my next favorite unfortunately. Food was okay, ordered cheese birria tacos which I thought would be cheese crusted rather than just some shredded cheese tossed inside.
The birria consome was great though! I think it was missing some salt but when combined with the tacos (as it should be) it was a perfect combination.

The place is small though, not a lot of seating space and the space that is available is a bit tight, so that ruins a bit of the atmosphere for me. But, for takeout nearby, I think it’s in the right neighborhood and deserves its round of applause.“
