My (now) wife and I hosted out welcome party at El Nico and I can't say enough wonderful things about them! From the food, the staff, the drinks, to the incredible view from the patio that really blew away our out-of-town guests. Couldn't recommend a better venue.
The atmosphere was so cozy, bright, and fun. The food (ordered all the vegan options) was delicious; so flavorful without being heavy or greasy. The staff was friendly and attentive. We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and we were presented with a little sorbet and candle at the end of our meal! A happy surprise. The cauliflower asada, barbacoa mushrooms, guacamole, and tostones were all 10/10.

**elNico Rooftop** is a swanky and cool rooftop restaurant located on the top floor of a boutique hotel. The rooftop offers incredible sunset views, with a stunning pink and purple skyline visible later in the spring and summer. The pastel, modern décor and furniture create a stylish yet relaxing feel, and the open layout provides a bright, airy ambiance. The space is spacious, intimate, and comfortable, with a greenhouse available in case of wind or cold. The rooftop is also dog-friendly.
The food is excellent and delicious. The guacamole is fresh and delicious, and the tacos are delicious. The short rib entrée is incredibly tender and flavorful, served with tortillas and salsa, and the potato and yucca puree is to die for. The cocktails are refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor, including a pineapple on punch, prickly sour with tequila, and a prickly margarita. The service is amazing and perfect, with attentive staff who even offer to take pictures. The atmosphere is enhanced by R&B music, and the venue is not overcrowded. This is a favorite Mexican restaurant in NYC.
