“Absolutely love this spot. Food is amazing and very economically priced. Authentic no frills Afghani food. Old school decor (which I absolutely love) same furniture for the last 12 years, gives it a vintage & authentic feel. They have another location in Long Island which is bigger (i haven't been there yet) During peak hours the service can be a bit slow (there is only 1 waiter). I have dined here about 20 times and everything is GREAT. The sambosa's, the combo plate, the lamb shank, the curries, the different kebabs, all the sauces and the desserts are amazing.“

“Mohammad is a good brother, treated us like family and we always love the delicious food, especially our favorite lamb & chicken kebab over rice, with salad. It is really fresh, tender chicken & lamb. The white & green sauces go perfect with the rice, salad and the perfectly cooked meats. I really like the seating, in the booths, nice read leather look and high quality black with gold streaks-design tops of the dining tables, and nice thin brick wall & beautiful photo/murial-of our New York City on the other main wall! “Ali is a welcoming host and server. The (vegetarian) food was delicious!! We got the vegetarian sampler which was tasty and filling for two of us. Plus he advised us that the rice is not vegetarian so we had the delicious bread instead! How thoughtful. This is a small restaurant that deserves a big reputation! The price was quite reasonable. What a find! Overall excellence!!“

“We’re in the neighborhood every few years and come here semi-regularly. Just ordered the vegetarian plate and was really delighted by the different vegetables. Cooked thoughtfully, great flavor. The kebab are also quite good.“

The kabobs were tender and juicy, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the portions were generous. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, just like a traditional Afghan meal. “Ordered take out and it was ready within 10min. The chicken pita sandwich was so delicious. And the fries were similar to steak fries, and very plentiful. I ordered from door dash so got a BOGO for fries. The place has some seating, i didn’t spend much time inside but looks like a clean place. Definitely would come back for takeout. “I love Lasani restaurant. Their prices are very reasonable and so when my husband and I are looking to eat out but not fancy it’s our go-to spot. Food is delicious, veg and non veg options, fast service. I like the environment, casual dining. Open late, too! Lasani is one of my favorite restaurants in Jersey City. When I want to eat out in a casual way, this is my spot. Highly recommend the roti!

Vegetarian options: I love the Chana, sometimes they have different veggies like cauliflower, spinach, depends on the day. Their roti is vegan and it’s soooo soft and good.
