After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. “I’ve been meaning to come to this place to have their falafel. It’s a little bit of a walk from my work but I made the trek out today because I had some time, and I am very glad I did. They were incredibly kind to me and gave me a sample of their lentil soup, and their iced coffee was really good too. I was going to go to a fancy coffee place and I enjoyed Rakka’s iced coffee even more than I would have enjoyed the offerings at a specialty shop. I ordered a falafel sandwich and it was very good. Everything was super fresh. I asked about their lentil soup and they very kindly gave me a sample. It was delicious and I am now hooked, I’ll definitely be back soon. Give Rakka a try!!!!“

The two young men who work behind the counter there (at least in the early evening hours) were: polite, friendly, professional and hardworking. The environment is welcoming, and the food is so yummy. Both times I’ve been there, I ordered the falafel wrap. It was super delicious — and full of fiber and protein, without feeling heavy on my tummy; I might just become a more regular customer, even though I’m trying to be mindful about my food budget these days. : ) (Their pricing is affordable to most, I simply mean that as a general comment.) Thank you for taking such good care of me, gentlemen! “Stopped in for lunch during a conference nearby. The falafel appetizer was filling, tasty, and with just a bit of heat. And the proprieter was delightfully friendly, throwing in a bit of hummus and a pita. A dessert of baklava was sweet without being sickly or cloying or too wet. And the price with a soft drink was less than $12, which is a real bargain. I'll be back again if I'm in the area.“

Balade helps get me through the weekend. 😄 I'm sharing a pic of some of Balade's fresh, delicious, Mouhamara on a diced up baked red potato. I had this at home this morning.
