“Hit the spot when craving Nicely flavored Shawarma meat. Ordered 2.5 hours before breaking fast or before Iftar time. Food was absolutely delicious even when reheated in the air fryer 2.5 hours later . We tried their viral wrap and chicken Shawarma pita and mossaka/ eggplant. All delicious. Normally, I’m not a fan of pita bread, but there is nice and fresh just like Al Basha’s so it’s good.“

“The best Falafel and shawarma sandwiches out there! Everything served is fresh and great quality. It’s a small spot but truly a gem for middle eastern food. I wish they have one on the south shore of Staten Island, because I drive 30 minutes to get here. Totally worth it!“

“An incredible lunch at an affordable price. We got the mixed lamb and chicken shawarma platter and while it runs pricier than a sandwich (around $24) it came piled high with lamb and chicken easily worth the price, and more than enough for both of us for a quick lunch. The chicken was the star—moist and well-seasoned, rich and fatty without feeling heavy or greasy. The lamb, while also good, was near the end of the spit and as a result came out a little dry and not nearly as rich. The shatta (hot sauce), toum (garlic sauce), and tahina all tasted homemade and more than compensated. The cucumber and tomato salad was light and simply seasoned, which perfectly complemented the rich meats and sauces. The pickled cucumbers and turnip had deep tang and traditionally fermented flavors that really rounded out the plate. Service was attentive and friendly, even offering a piece of bread free with our platter when we realized we were low on cash and were unaware bread was extra! The friendly man behind the counter even gave us a few rose candies on our way out! All in all, a delicious and authentic Palestinian meal from a business that deserves so much love.“

“My friends and I went here to celebrate my birthday after it was recommended to me by a colleague.
I like the atmosphere of Frena and it's pretty comfortable. I absolutely loved the Frena signature bread and the braised oxtails I had. My friends and I enjoyed our drinks.“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“My girlfriend and I stopped by Fire Kabob and WOW! This place is great! Clean dining area and SUPER friendly staff. We ordered 2 plates, chicken and Lamb and then a side of eggplant burani. The food is fresh and delicious! The rice and homemade sauces are excellent. It also came with a side of bread and salad. Can't wait to try out all their other items, we will definitely be back. I would post pics but we scarfed down every bit of it. It's a must try! Chicken and Lamb - Tender and cooked perfect. Eggplant Burani - a must try, unlike anything I have ever tried. Rice - seasoned perfect and you get a lot of it. Def try the sauces that come with it.“

“I’ve been meaning to come to this place to have their falafel. It’s a little bit of a walk from my work but I made the trek out today because I had some time, and I am very glad I did. They were incredibly kind to me and gave me a sample of their lentil soup, and their iced coffee was really good too. I was going to go to a fancy coffee place and I enjoyed Rakka’s iced coffee even more than I would have enjoyed the offerings at a specialty shop. I ordered a falafel sandwich and it was very good. Everything was super fresh. I asked about their lentil soup and they very kindly gave me a sample. It was delicious and I am now hooked, I’ll definitely be back soon. Give Rakka a try!!!!“

I can't stress enough how good it is here.
If you live locally and don't come here, well I think your mad.
If you are visiting Manhattan and don't come across the water to eat here. Well I still think your mad.
This is how Falafel and Hummus is supposed to taste.“

“Want to make your pallet dance? Of course you do! Boutros is the place to go from their tantalizing cocktails to their original baba ghanoush and falafel you’ll be simply amazed. Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. The short rib wraps are beautiful salad and baba ghanoush to name a few. Hurry up, you won’t be disappointed!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

“We stumbled upon this place today with few expectations and left absolutely delighted. Wonderful service and excellent food - DEFINITELY coming back. We recommend the Muhammarah and the fattat jaj.
With the nice weather, we were hoping to sit on the roof, but it was closed. Is there a timeframe around when that’ll open back up?“

“This spot in on the border of Boerum Hill and Downtown Brooklyn provides an essential local feel with great food. We shared the assorted salad combination and the lamb plate which was perfect in amount and flavor. The baba ghanoush was killer and the lamb was so tender. We will be coming back here often.“

“The Lights of Baku was an excellent choice for our wedding celebration in Brooklyn.
Throughout the planning process, Tarik was extremely helpful with both the menu selection and table arrangements, making everything organized and stress-free. Roma and the entire team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was equally impressive: attentive, professional, and well-coordinated throughout the event.
A special mention also goes to the singer Volodya, whose captivating voice and wide repertoire added a wonderful touch to the evening.
Highly recommended for weddings, family celebrations, and special events.“

“Absolutely Incredible Experience! “I cannot recommend Alkofeia highly enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The authentic Palestinian flavors were absolutely unforgettable — every dish was vibrant, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh homemade pita, the perfectly spiced lamb ouzi, and the shawarma platter were all standout dishes. The portions were generous, the service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere just added to the whole experience. The attention to detail, from the olive oil appetizer to the dessert, showed how much care goes into every plate. This is hands-down one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants we’ve ever visited, and we’ll be back again and again! Highly recommend to anyone who loves real, heartfelt cuisine.” ❤️“
