“The sharing plate with hummus, muhammara, tzatziki, and naan was a great start—creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The kofta meatballs were juicy and well-seasoned.

The chicken shawarma was tasty, but it tasted more like a chicken curry than traditional shawarma. The steak was cooked nicely and had good flavor. Overall, a satisfying meal with a nice variety of dishes!

Pistachio baklava was super delicious!! The watermelon zero cocktail was good.“

“Had the falafel sandwich like many times as a vegan, but this was soooo good. Crispy outside, soft moist inside. Your choice of “salads”/pickled veggies to add into it. I had baba ghanoush, Julienne pickled carrots , and a cubed roasted eggplant, onion, and tomato. So flavorful without being overpowering w any one ingredient. Eddy makes everything homemade by hand. Everything! The falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, the pickles, the pita. Pita so good. Large thick and soft. My friends had a beef kabob sandwich and chicken plate. They said it was delicious. “We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. “I like this place a lot. The food tastes fresh and homemade (not too much salt), and the portions are very generous (a lot of protein, they don't overload you on rice). The lentil soup is delicious. The pita bread could be a little fresher but I don't end up eating very much of it. Very nice staff! A very cute but tiny eat-in area if you'd like to sit down. Definitely pick this place over Mamoun's.“

I’m an avid hookah smoker and the overall quality was bad, I would really encourage the establishment to refine the vip hookahs“

“Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“One of the best middle eastern restaurants in metro NYC. we came with a part of five and ordered up a large sample of dishes. Everything we tried was one better than the next. Super tasty humus, light, fresh and lemony. I had a stuffed chicken over rice, which was to die for. We tried the mixed grill, shawarma, Middle East platter and several salads.
Very reasonable prices. Simple brightly lit space with a lovely staff.“
