“Afiyet in Cliffside Park is, unfortunately, a complete disaster for anyone trying to pretend good food no longer exists. The authentic Turkish cooking here is so outrageously good that it makes ordinary restaurant meals feel like cafeteria mistakes. Every dish tastes like it was made by someone who actually cares about flavor, tradition, and the radical concept of seasoning food properly. The meats are perfectly cooked, the breads taste like they were sent down from a higher power, and everything has that unmistakable homemade, authentic quality that ruins lesser restaurants forever.
The staff and owner are also wildly inconvenient in the sense that they are too friendly. Instead of the usual cold, robotic service you expect these days, they are warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. It is almost exhausting being treated that well. You walk in expecting dinner and leave feeling like you were adopted by a very talented Turkish family.
And to make matters worse, parking is easy. No heroic search. No parallel parking Olympics. No circling the block questioning your life choices. You just show up, park, and enjoy one of the best meals around like that is somehow allowed.
Afiyet is the kind of place that completely ruins your standards. Amazing food, authentic cooking, wonderful people, and easy parking. Really inconsiderate of them to set the bar this high for everyone else.“

“I like to come by and eat lunch here because the food is delicious, quickly served, and price is giving. Lunch Menu is now $17 for soup or salad, appetizer, main. I had the lentil soup (could use some more flavor its a bit bland), the hummus was very
good (wish they had real warm pita instead of bread ), my Chicken kabob was cooked perfectly (meat was tender and soft).“

“I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The Lahmacun was delicious, with the perfect blend of flavors and a crispy crust. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. It's no surprise that the owner is a well-known chef in Turkey. I highly recommend you all try it!“

“We’ve been loyal takeout customers for a long time, but dining in at Cinar was a completely different experience—in the best way. The atmosphere is refined and inviting, the service was attentive and professional, and the food was genuinely exceptional. A flawless 5-star experience across the board. We will absolutely be returning to dine in again and again.“

“Such an amazing Turkish breakfast experience. The spread was fresh and delicious, but the kuymak was the real highlight — rich, perfectly stretchy, and tasted just like my grandma made it. The staff were so kind and welcoming, truly peak Turkish hospitality. Definitely recommend!“

“What a joke, serving fresh bread in a single paper bag , without wrap or plastic protection. So sad...I believe service was left home.“
