I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! “My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“Best focaccia I’ve had…ever? Stopped in at around 12:30 on a Wednesday - no line and they had plenty of sandwich picks available (but were out of most early morning croissants and pastries). The burrata and prosciutto was delicious. Get anything on their focaccia and you can’t go wrong!“

“First, I saw this shop online and was taken aback by the prices and the lines, but it was 100% worth the hype. The cookies are crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside, full of deep rich chocolate, and as big as a person's hand. I recommend the two chip cookies and the peanut butter dark chocolate cookie. Their lemon bread and chocolate brioche are sold out frequently, so if you have a chance, absolutely purchase them.

I think this is the best coffee in midtown - best batch brew at least. Black fox alwaus goes for such high extractions the coffee tastes a little “thin”. This tasted like something in the 1:16-17 range, and had a lovely body & sweetness, in addition to bright clarity.

They have several roasters on retail: Onyx Coffee, Sey, and another I didn’t recognize.

Oh, and the passion fruit curd brioche was excellent as well.“

The sandwich shop itself is quaint, there's sliding scale prices on sandwiches, you can sit at the table in the big window, or outside, it's a nice peaceful block.

I look forward to returning and trying more sandwiches and I'm a vegan! They had options to make several sandwiches vegan and I was completely satisfied. Also got a strawberry lemonade, mmmm, yum tasted very freshly made with real fruit and not too sweet. Got my favorite voodoo chips. There's some deli sides, but I don't think any of them are vegan and there's some breakfast sandwiches, including a vegan option.

I trust them here, they make good food.

“I work for a law firm in CA and we have an employee who works remotely in NY.. For our employee's birthday I wanted to choose a bakery close to her home and who was local. Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. Needless to say our NY employee was super happy and LOVED the flavors and decorations of the cupcakes. ❤️“

I was first in a line that I thought was for Popup Bagels but it was for Leon's... make sure you're at the right place! Popup Bagels didn't have a line, which was bittersweet. A line doesn't necessitate quality and experience but it did make me wonder. I enjoyed the aesthetic of Popup Bagels, the music, and the service. The guy who helped me was kind and efficient. But the best part of this place is how freaking good their bagels are! Whew! They're light, hot and fresh, and tasted great! I got two sesame and one everything, with plain smear. So far, the sesame is the only one I've tried, but I'm stoked to try the everything bagel! I got these to share but they might not make it to my friends ?“

This is a very nice cozy bakery with comfortable seating. Great looking selection of pastries, breads and sandwiches. Today I had the scone with chocolate and an Americano coffee. Came with a small biscotti. Both were very good. Lots of take out business and many locals seem to sit in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Several people doing business on their computers. Bathroom is spacious and clean.
