I read some reviews saying there isn't too much meat in burek. That's how it is supposed to be. more meat would make burek too greasy and heavy. Djerdan bureks are authentic and delicious. I have never dealt with a company whose owner takes such pride in their business that she would call herself . We order from Dana’s regularly and we are all obsessed with her cookies!! “My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“Marie is the absolute best. I asked her to make a cake for my birthday and my guests and myself have been talking about it ever since! I called Marie to tell her my vision and she helped me through it and made it even better, she's so kind and so open to collaborating. And not only that the flavor was INSANELY DELICIOUS. I am normally not a big cake person but it was the perfect balance of moist and creamy, the way I told her how I wanted it to be. I asked for vanilla frosting with chocolate inside, and a layer of praline cream. Highly recommend ordering from Marie for any occasion. I definitely will be doing that again soon.“

“I have been going here for years and absolutely love it. Service is always fabulous but today I was blown away. I ordered for pick up and was pulled into a meeting, causing me to come get my iced drink and hot sandwich 1 hour later than I was supposed to, leaving the drink melted and the breakfast sandwich cold. When I got there, Pedro didnt hesitate to offer to remake everything fresh for me. In a day where everything wasnt going my way, this gesture from him meant a lot to me.“

“They have the best italian bread in JC, baked fresh every morning. Every sandwich is delicious, every pastry is delicious. Prices are great, can get a regular sandwich for less than the price of fast food.

Personal favorites of mine, hot roast beef, mozz + gravy sandwich and the cinnamon bread or the sweet ricotta calzones.

The earlier you can get in the fresher, some of the pastries will be sold out before closing.“

It is very thick and I believe it has milk chocolate chips (I am a semi sweet girl). If you heat up this cookie and top it with ice cream, it would be like a little mini pazookie. There is no seating here, but they have two benches outside (that will likely be occupied if it's busy). They also sell coffee, chocolates, and other foods!“
