“Erie is amazing. Highly recommend - coffee is absolutely the best - lattes and all different flavors - hot and cold! The banana bread is my favorite but All of the different baked goods are to die for! Never had anything but excellent here. The owners and the baristas and ALL of the staff are friendly and truly provide the BEST service! If I lived in Rutherford I’d be here every day!“

“I stopped in for some pastries and ended up leaving with so much more than just something sweet. The macaroons were absolutely delicious, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. You can really tell they’re made with care.

What truly made my experience, though, was Renee. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and just radiated such positive energy. She had no idea I was having a really hard day, but her attitude genuinely lifted my spirits more than she probably realizes. It’s rare to come across someone who makes that kind of impact in such a simple interaction.

Between the amazing treats and the even better service, I’ll definitely be coming back.

“This cute bake shop is small, but dense, providing various flavors and products that are hard to find vegan. The cake truffles (Red Velvet and Fudge Brownie) were amazing—fudgy and flavorful on the inside with just enough icing. The cupcakes (tiramisu and Old Skool) were moist with rich filling at the center and a sufficient amount of frosting. Sweet Avenue deserves their due. I hope I can return one day to try more! “My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“We went directly here after eating at the Cafe because I had my heart set on an onion bagel, and possibly a garlic bagel. The Cafe didn't have either option but I needed them in my life. So we walked over right after. Super cute small spot. Beautiful smoked fish in the cases, amazing cream cheese options. I so wanted the caviar cream cheese, but we just ate and we were gonna be walking around for a few hours. So I got 2 onion and 2 garlic bagels. They thought we was nuts not wanting anything done with them. Like I said I just needed them gonna enjoy it tomorrow morning as our Great American Road Trip continues to Boston. Personally next time.. I'd go to this original location, more variety, of bagels and cream cheese, but no seating. So pick what works for you but definitely Go! 100% recommend.“

“This classic Chinatown bakery has such a nostalgic, no-frills atmosphere with the smell of fresh buns and pastries filling the air. The egg tarts were flaky with silky custard, the pork buns were juicy and hot, and the milk tea was strong and sweet. Staff was efficient and friendly. Total around $12-18 per person. An absolute gem for affordable Chinese pastries and coffee!“

“Employee owned co-op with a sliding scale pricing system for sandwiches. The concept alone is worth a visit.

But the sandwiches will keep you coming back. I got the Lucy and it was 🤌. As the kids say, 10/10 no notes. It was so good that my wife - who was hangry and wondered why it took 10 minutes (perfectly acceptable timing tbh) - no longer wondered why good things take time when she stole the other half of my sandwich. From the bread to the fillings to the ratio, bravo.

I will be back, I will be dragging my wife with me, and we will be pestering the extremely nice staff for their tasty treats. Can’t wait to try the desserts/pastries! What an awesome place to have in the neighborhood.“

“I work for a law firm in CA and we have an employee who works remotely in NY.. For our employee's birthday I wanted to choose a bakery close to her home and who was local. Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. Needless to say our NY employee was super happy and LOVED the flavors and decorations of the cupcakes. ❤️“

“I don't usually write long Google reviews, but after attending a buddy’s wedding in North Jersey recently, I had to drop one for this place.
Honestly, I’m not even a big cake guy, but the dessert setup at the reception caught my attention right away. They had this huge, multi-tiered custom wedding cake that looked awesome really clean work, not over the top, just super high quality. My wife and I were actually talking about how great it looked before they even cut into it.
When we finally got our slices, I expected the usual wedding cake thing: looks great, tastes like dry cardboard or straight sugar. But man, this thing was actually insane. Super moist, fresh, and tasted legit. I finished mine in about two minutes and ended up grabbing half of my wife’s slice too. It was so good I walked over to the groom during the party just to ask where they got it. He told me they had it custom designed at D’era House.
Finding a cake designer around North Jersey that makes something that actually tastes as good as it looks is pretty rare. I saved their info on my phone right then and there for our next family event.
If you’re looking for a solid wedding cake designer, custom made tiered cakes, or custom event cakes in Clifton or anywhere in the area, D’era House is 100% the real deal. Props to the baker! 💍🍰💪“
