“They have the best italian bread in JC, baked fresh every morning. Every sandwich is delicious, every pastry is delicious. Prices are great, can get a regular sandwich for less than the price of fast food.

The earlier you can get in the fresher, some of the pastries will be sold out before closing.“

Particularly enjoyed the melonpan and the round cream cheese bread item. matcha latte was smooth and not grainy, but comes on the unsweetened side. tried the matcha creme bread as well but the matcha paste was on the chalky side. good coffee. “I got off the subway nearby and walked down Church on my way to World Trade Center area.
At 224 Church St, an older office building, I saw the signs for Frenchette Bakery. So I decided to go inside and check it out.
The Bakery is at the back of the building lobby on the right. It is just a kiosk built onto the wall and the actual bakery is further back on the right.
You order at the counter and wait for your order. Then you find one of the built in seating areas on both sides of the lobby wall. Very unusual and prettiness interesting.
Americano coffee came out quickly and it was perfect. Made just right.“

“The bakery truly feels as antique as its name. Seems to recently have been taken over by new management, we’re doing exactly the same thing as ever. The value is off the charts here: get the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich, and the amount of prosciutto you’ll get on that one sandwich would cost you triple the price at a fancy deli elsewhere. Speaking of, fresh mozzarella is a specialty, they make it in house and makes for a fantastic sandwiches. The bread is very soft, old-school Italian style. But then there are stuffed breads, like the olive stuffed loaf, which is like focaccia in rounded form. Just tops.“

“This is hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST BAKERY in the TRi-STATE AREA!!! Everything is always super fresh and delicious. Their variety of Cheescakes, Carrot cake, Fruit tarts, Cookies, Biscotti, Lobster tail pastries, and birthday cakes are to die for! I travel from anywhere to bring these along for any occasion and they never disappoint. It has become my family and friend's favorite as well. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!“

“Secret is out, this is the best cafe/bakery in downtown JC. You know how some places look great but you get garbage, fake, wannabe crap - this is not that place. From the outside to when you enter, you can tell the aesthetic and architecture are very ‘Jeff Lewis approved’ and also very warm and welcoming. I had the ham sandwich and cappuccino - inhaled both. The sandwich was delicious and rich, made with amazing ingredients. The cappuccino was superb, strong but not too acidic. And an extra shoutout to Drea, she was very helpful, personable, knowledgeable, and hilarious. This place is a gem - thank you for a wonderful addition to a chill weekend afternoon.“

“Literally the best Knafe in all of Paterson. Better than any other spot. Most authentic Knafe I've tasted in America. The most similar I've seen to this one was in Chicago. And I've tried plenty of Knafe in America.

Also their Znud Al Sit are amazing. I usually call in the morning to make an order by noon time for best results.“
