“I ordered a pull a part cupcake cake, number 9, Fortnite themed for my son's birthday. The entire experience was so easy from start to finish. From the convenient user-friendly website ordering system, payment system, and seamless correspondence with Polkadot Cake Shop, I knew I was working with a true pro. I sent a picture of what I envisioned and got exactly that and even better. I've never had any service where I have provided a picture and gotten the EXACT results! Just blown away. The ingredients of the cupcakes were top notch as well, tasted so good, my guests were commenting how it was the best cupcake frosting they have ever tasted. And the 'icing on the cake' was that we received a premium custom-made cake at a reasonable price! I will definitely be using Polkadot Cake Shop for future events, thanks for making my son's birthday a memorable one!“

“Turned up early on a Wednesday morning as it was opening and got a seat at the counter - which is our preference anyway so this was a win - but we clearly got lucky as it filled up very quickly with lots of people waiting too. I went for blueberry pancakes while my husband went for the Huevos Rancheros. The food was superb and the service was excellent but especially so from Jess (I think) who was working behind the counter - multitasking to a ridiculous degree but so on top of tending to everyone promptly and taking time to chat too. I can completely understand why this place has gone viral and would definitely recommend.“

“Speaking on behalf of the bakery, as someone who has somehow managed to sample almost everything at least once, this is the best bakery in NYC. While my Baba always wants a canoli, I enjoy their fruit tarts and their perfect cream. My father cannot go without a slice of the Sicilian Cheesecake and would buy the whole giant wheel if we let him. The assorted cookies (especially the rainbow cookies) and biscotti are also great. It is a must go if you are in the neighborhood and need a treat.Shout-out to the tiramisu cake we bought for my brother's birthday. “Can a slice of cake be life changing? I'm literally in the middle of eating a slice of their strawberry sumac cake and I'm definitely feeling that way. It's so dense and moist but still also fluffy and refreshing? The flavor is deep and complex but still accessible and it has a rich level of sweetness without being cloying. It's a slice of cake that can't be consumed mindlessly - it stops you in your tracks when you take a bite because it's THAT good. I'm being long-winded but as someone who has eaten more cake than advisable in their lifetime, I am grateful to have ByClio in my neighborhood as a place that not only delights but excites with every new flavor offered. “Lovely, compact Scandi bakery with a small market in the back with selection of Haribo licorice and more.We ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich, cardamom bun, and salmon focaccia. When I come back, I’m definitely going to order the breakfast sandwich with a perfect brioche bun and thick multi-herb green aioli/sauce as the bottom layer! This was the most memorable of the items. Salmon was generously applied to the focaccia along with thick chive cream cheese, but the flavor combination wasn’t quite as unique in the lox bagel capital of the world. The cardamom bun could benefit from, well, more cardamom. And I fully admit that I’m not being quite fair on this front after having tasted the cardamom buns at Juno Bakery in Copenhagen, which are laced with so much freshly ground cardamom throughout that the scent fills the surrounding neighborhood. If you’ve tasted these buns, Smor’s will underwhelm you, but they are definitely one of the best in NYC.“

We liked the smaller, slightly sweet, baked, 8-to-a-box, red roast pork buns better because of the higher meat to bun ratio. I tried the salted egg custard bun for the first time and it was pretty good. Comparable to Go Believe Bakery on Grand, which always has a consistent amount of meat but less airy bun.“

“First and foremost, their pastries are wonderful! Came in the morning when everything was well stocked. They had a variety of bomboloni (Italian fried doughnuts), croissants, cookies and muffins. They had at least 3 different flavors of bomboloinis (orange spritz, blueberry/raspberry, strawberry cream) and at least 4 type of croissants (butter, everything, basil cream cheese, espresso). There were even more but I've forgotten. I got two sweet and two savory ones plus an Americano. The total was $28 which in my opinion is a decent price for NYC. I saw a board outside that a breakfast sandwich and drip coffee combo is $9. Other than what's displayed, they also have a food menu. I noticed someone ordered an everything croissant with egg and salmon or prosciutto. It looked really good so I will definitely be going back for that. They have a large space. There are cozy seats and tables at the front. The back has plenty of tables and chairs. They even have a long bar table with high chairs against the wall opposite their open kitchen. They also placed a few tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Most importantly, they have one clean handicap assessable restroom. Next to that there is a storage area that they tried to shield with trees. I appreciate they try to make the space pretty and clean.“

“Before you go here you should know you can only buy 3 bagels w/ a side (butter, cream cheese, etc) for $12( you cant buy a singular bagel! There’s no bacon, egg bagels or anything like that! The only thing I didn’t like is that you had to cut the bagel open yourself with a wooden knife & put your cream cheese inside & the whole point of buying a bagel sandwich is that you don’t have to make it yourself ( if your on the go or anything) and here you have to, which I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point of the shop. But I might as well buy a 12 pack of bagels & butter at the store for less than $12 and do it at home because it’s the same thing.Anyways I stumbled upon this place & would definitely visit again because the bagels were delicious & crunchy! “I ordered catering for my birthday event last weekend and the food was amazing! I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. I know I can count on them for providing exemplary food as well as service. Thank you, Anthony and his team for making my birthday memorable!“

“Came here for brunch and it was such a delight. Our waiter had the perfect amount of helpful to leaving us alone balance. The food was delicious. There was a leek vinaigrette dish with hazelnuts and ricotta (I think). It’s an absolute must try.. we ordered another portion it was so good and I ate it with the onion bun which went really well with it. Also the pastries were all great. Mu friends loved the orange almond croissant. I had the tuna Niçoise salad - very tasty and fresh. I tried a bite of the burger and it might be the best bite of burger I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge burger fan usually as I find the patties not to be well seasoned or that flavorful. This one was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth.I have no complaint or suggestion. Just a fantastic place.“

“I have been craving sesame-flavored things, so I had to go here when I saw that it has sesame ice cream. It was good--not too sweet, a good combination of sweet and savory, and subtly fragrant. Although I stopped tasting it after eating it for a while. It did feel expensive for a scoop of ice cream on a cone ($6.30) but at least the scoop was pretty big. There are a lot of cool flavors so I hope to go back sometime.“

“Cute little bakery, a little pricey for what you get, but the pastries all look almost too good to eat. You can buy your treats and enjoy them outside across the street at Lt. “Service and atmosphere were cool, but the cookie I had was not good. Was really looking forward to trying as the other reviews of this place are amazing.I tried the Birthday Party cookie. For a cookie with so many flavorful things in it (cake batter, Oreos, sprinkles, 2 types of chocolate) it had little flavor profile and was dry and hard. Maybe I just got the wrong flavor.“

“I just can’t get enough of this place, it’s sooo damn good. I came to vacation here in New York once again after coming here once during wrestlemania 2019. I immediately came here during the cold raining storm drenched just wanting my key lime pie!!! TOTALLY WORTH IT! Everything tastes very high quality.I just got everything on the menu . I don’t care how much it cost. The chocolate is smooth, creamy and dark. It pairs really well with key lime pie. You can actually taste the graham cracker crust, I’m shocked because so many pies mask the flavor of the crust with their artificial sour tart lime filling. Not this pie!! And last but not least, the key lime filling is perfect. Not extremelySour or tart, just right and creamy. With a hint of lime flavor.Prior to our arrival, my sister was angry and upset that I made her walk with me to Steve’s during this crazy cold windy storm. Her mood changed once she tried the pie. Saved me the stress of having to deal with it.Ugh I’m leaving today morning back to LA. I’ll miss this place very much. I wish there was a Steve’s in Los Angeles. My trips to NY are not compete without a key lime pie from Steve.“

“On a serene Sunday morning, my friend and I embarked on a culinary adventure to indulge in the famed croissant rolls that had taken Instagram by storm. As expected, the bakery was bustling with eager patrons, forming a snaking queue that hinted at the treat awaiting us. Amidst the anticipation, we eagerly selected two croissants: one pistachio and one chocolate, adhering to the limit of two per person.Upon sinking our teeth into the delectable pastries, we were met with an explosion of flavor that surpassed all expectations. The creamy filling melded seamlessly with the flaky exterior, creating a symphony of taste and texture that left us craving more. However, we couldn't help but notice the limited availability of the croissants, especially on weekends. This posed a challenge for those traveling from afar, hoping to share the experience with loved ones. While the quality of the croissants was good, we couldn't help but feel that the bakery could benefit from producing larger quantities or additional batches, particularly during peak hours. Despite this inconvenience, our experience was nothing short of delightful, and we eagerly look forward to our next visit but hoping that they do a better job managing their demand!Parking: There is a parking lot right in front but really expensive, which is typical NyC! Better to use public transport if possible!“
