Definitely worth the wait. Our food was really good had that gourmet feeling and had the right balance of ingredients.
The flatbread sandwiches are delicious 🤤 Go early for focaccia since there is a lot of olive oil it tends to become soft, the vanilla creme donut 10/10!! There are standing tables outside and the shop sells some Italian goods.
Focaccia 10/10. Ricotta cookies, sandwiches… 10/10. Everything is so delicious, I wish they were open 24/7.

Bread and Salt is a love letter to Italy, baked goods, sandwiches, bread, and more. This is a singularly unique place. The ingredients are 100% authentic. The bakery is a little stand on Palisade Ave. The bombolonis were some of the best ever, with fresh vanilla pastry cream. The mozzarella/prosciutto sandwich was underwhelming and overpriced. The potato and margherita pizza slices were great. The best cappuccino in town is served here. The pastries are traditional Italian bakery offerings. The sandwiches are what the reviewer likes most, with best-in-class prosciutto. The bread is delicious. The focaccia and sandwiches are great for lunch, and the rotating soups/stews are a hidden gem. A brioche filled with fresh ricotta and lemon curd is just perfect. The service never feels overwhelmed. The place is a little quirky with the days it is open and pizza only after 1. There is hardly any street parking, so plan ahead. Various Italian products for sale include jarred sauces and dried pasta.
