“I was introduced to this hidden gem by an Albanian client a while back, and I finally had the chance to experience it. Without a doubt, it has become my absolute favorite restaurant on the island. What's even more enticing is its affordability. We ordered 5 dishes and 4 bottles of water, added a 20% tip, and each of us (a group of 4) paid only $26. We were even left with delicious leftovers to savor later. The value for money here is truly outstanding, and I hope it stays that way! ?One unique aspect is that they don't offer an English menu; everything is in Albanian. However, the warm and welcoming waitress went out of her way to assist us with our choices, patiently explaining each dish. I highly recommend trying the following:1. Qebaba (resembling kebab): The taste is nothing short of amazing – an absolute MUST-ORDER!2. Mish vici ne furre (veal in the oven): It boasts a tender texture and a superbly delicious flavor – another MUST-ORDER!3. Gullash (beef stew): This one is my personal FAVORITE, and I can't recommend it enough!! It's served with bread, which has a delightful combination of a crunchy exterior and a soft interior that's simply delightful.4. Speca me kajmak (pepper in white cream): This dish is also highly enjoyable.5. Ground beef potato: A pretty good choice, and the leftovers are perfect for taking to work the next day, heating up into a super delicious meal.Last but not least, if you have a sweet tooth, they have a plenty of coconut-flavored desserts that will surely satisfy your craving.“

“Lokanta just opened up a few months ago. I always walked by, and i decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating and is well kept. I placed an order for pick up. I went with the mixed grill entree. It was flavorful and tasted charcoal grilled, which I love. The ambiance is alright. It isn't a dimly lighted restaurant but doesn't need to be. I will stop by again and try more of their food.“
“great place to eat at! first off, the staff is so attentive, any time we were out of water or needed something they were helpful. in terms of food, this place is one of my go to spots when I crave turkish food because it never fails to disappoint I love ordering the chicken shish kebab platter 10/10 and of course other appetizers! honestly their desserts are pretty good as well! the chocolate baklava is a 10/10 I would recommend haha I would definitely recommend visiting this place. honestly gives me a home like vibe each time I visit! :)“

“Wenn man den Döner in Deutschland gewohnt ist, ist das Dönerfleisch bei "Ay Kebab" vergleichsweise zurückhaltend gewürzt. Die Qualität von Fleisch und Gemüse ist aber über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Das Hühnerfleisch war zart und das Gemüse frisch und knackig. Preise sind USA-ensprechend recht happig, 11$ für einen Wrap incl. Steuer ist eine Nummer für sich.“
“I honestly think people who leave bad reviews for this restaurant dont have tastebuds. Everything tastes so good here. I have tried most of their plates so far and I am shocked how good the dish is. Honestly, I want to start my day with their lentil soup with their freshly baked bread and dip that bread in their mixed appetizers and then eat a mixed grill special by myself. And I would love my piece of baklava with my hot turkish tea. Waitresses/waiters are so lovely and so helpful, patiently answer any questions I have about the food and the culture.“

“Absolutely amazing!!! Zara really is incredible to dine in and take out. I’ve done both. The staff is very attentive. My family and I have loved every dish. I’m a bit of a hummus snob and I’m just going to say it - best hummus!!, bread!! and Sheppard salad I’ve ever had!!! The feta is so fresh. I’m an original loyal fan of Sahara on Coney Island Ave. IYKYK. This has them beat!! The lamb gyro , salmon shish, lebni, steak, chicken literally everything !!!“
