She even catered to our almost two year old son, which was really over the top. The food was breathtaking both by presentation and taste. This is by far the most beautiful and elegant restaurant in Manhattan, let alone the five boroughs. Highly recommend this restaurant to one and all!“

“We were so looking forward to try out this new restaurant. The ambiance was really nice, staff was GREAT as well. The food was spectacular!!! We didn't order much, just a few appetizers for the most part (as seen in the pics). I would definitely come here again, it's one of those places that just feels like home. So beyond cozy. The reason for the 4 star is only because some of the portions are insanely TINY. For example, the pasta that we ordered... that in itself is maybe 3-4 bites at most. So we were disappointed in that, the other things we ordered were sized decently. But I do wish that they would give just a bit more.

Our chef, Josue, and his team truly did justice to our food. Everything was absolutely delicious! What impressed me the most was how attentive and careful they were with my cousin’s food allergies. She’s allergic to almost everything, and the team went above and beyond to take detailed notes and make sure everything was prepared safely. That level of care and attention to detail was truly top-notch and meant so much to us.
I also can’t forget our awesome server, Alejandro, who was amazing throughout our entire experience, as well as the front desk management team, such great people! And of course, the bartender was wonderful too (the one with the low bun 😊).

“I had to come write this after witnessing this simply criminal 4.3 rating. Caravan of Dreams is the best. I've been vegan for over a decade and been coming here for just as long without ever ordering the same thing twice (except.. the jalapeno margarita). Service is always kind, and the live music is always good. I've spent several birthdays at Caravan of Dreams. I just spent my last birthday month having three different dinners here. The menu is extensive and excellent, with creative and actually healthy options that still leave you full. The price is standard for the area, but the quality of meal is really unbelievable. The ingredients are fresh and organic, with revolving specials that are actually worth trying. Even their options that include processed substitutes are shockingly holistic. Coffee and desserts are also fantastic. There's really no other place like Caravan of Dreams left here. I suggest it every time a friend wants to make dinner plans, and any time someone asks me about trying vegan food. It's the oldest vegan restaurant left standing in NYC, and even when it had similar "rivals," there was no comparison. I would say the closest menu I remember would have been from Angelica's Kitchen on 12th (RIP), but Caravan's menu is MUCH bigger, and the food is MUCH better. The restaurant itself also has way better vibe - less crowded, cozier, less yuppies, more characters. Go to Caravan of Dreams. It's a one-of-a-kind vegan restaurant that's good for you, good for the planet, and true to NYC, and LES in particular.“

“Delicious Authentic Middle Eastern falafel and shawarma. It's a place that focuses on just that, but does it really well. Every element of the 'sandwich' is made to perfection! The pita is fresh and warm, the shawarma is cooked perfectly on the rotisserie, and each topping is delicious- the humus, tehina, amba, onions... plus ... served with a smile! Open late too!“

The staff was super friendly, and their lunchbox special was amazing. I got the Mediterranean Red Chicken—the chicken was juicy and full of flavor, the salad was fresh, and the rice hit the spot.

And the hummus with pita? 🔥 On another level. Definitely recommend checking this place out! 🤤“

Finding truly authentic falafel is one thing. Finding it kosher, fresh, reasonably priced, and right in Manhattan is something else entirely. This place delivers on all fronts.

The falafel is crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and always tastes fresh. The salads, pickles, sauces, and pita are fresh and plentiful, giving you the full Israeli street-food experience. Every bite feels authentic and brings back memories of grabbing falafel from a small stand in Israel.

As someone who keeps kosher, I especially appreciate having a reliable kosher option that doesn't sacrifice quality or flavor. Too often kosher food gets judged on the fact that it's kosher. Here, the food stands on its own merit. The fact that it's kosher is simply an added bonus.

The prices are very fair, especially for Manhattan, and the portions are generous. Whether you're a local, a tourist, or just passing through the city, this is the kind of place that's worth seeking out.
