Recommended in the Marco Polo travel guide. The spinach particle was missing salt - probably an old Jewish recipe. Fills you up. However, Dr. is very cool. Brown's Cream Soda. I have no idea how such a brilliant restaurant can be allowed to go to waste like this. No seating, the shop was full of boxes and run down. Old would be ok - but this looks like poor American craftsmanship.
I met Yonah there! Super nice guy, nice staff and good Knishes. And they have shirts too!PS: The original Knish is a little too basic for me, so I recommend trying some of their other flavors.

This is an iconic and go to spot in the Lower East Side to have a sweet or savory (or both) knish! I always make the walking trip to order a sweet potato or apple strudel knish to start my morning or have as an afternoon snack. I find comfort in getting it warmed up at the ideal temperature so I can easily bite in and enjoy while sitting at a nearby park or walking and snacking.
